Why not?

Yes, I think so - I didn't at first, but after considering MB's two versions of the arctic set, I think it's better to have one and let people just pick what they want when they buy a plane.

Partly because there aren't any freight liveries[0], partly because there's no slot for the 747-400[1], but mostly since it'd been 3 days since I had so much as thought about doing anything with those sprites. Tell me what you want, and I can probably make it happen.
[0] I might be able to adjust the -100's freight liveries to -300s or -400s.
[1] I could just ignore the winglets, and I could probably trim them off. The wing shapes for the -100 and -400 appear to be the same, at least at TTD scale. We could also choose -300 vs -400 sprites depending on puchase date.
No freight liveries? Weren't there modern FedEx and UPS? I bet we could have an Evergreen or Polar one pretty quick too. Plus, you can use Lufthansa (Lufthansa Cargo) and KLM (KLM Cargo).
And I'd say, ignore the winglets. So we fudged a little. You can retrofit winglets anyway IRL.

There are some of both - obviously there are more -100s, but there are cargo and combi -400s. The Polar one I posted is labeled as a -400 in the database. Although, you may have a point - it appears that cargo-version -400s have all the improved avionics, and winglets, that the passenger -400s have (you can see the Polar one has winglets), but doesn't have the long hump since you can't put cargo in there anyway, and the short hump is plenty big for as many passengers as a cargo flight is likely to carry.

Aydan, can you tell me how the heck you render those planes, in such a small space, but retain all that detail put in the model?
im running into problems constantly when i render stuff for Locomotion that either its to big, or to small.
That last one has been rendered with a recursive antialiasing with a depth of 4 and threshold of 5%
The problem with this fake alpa is that you'll get a miscolored border whenever the terrain color changes.
