Well, topic says it all.
(Norway is flat and incomplete because I don't have a norwegian map)

Very cool! Map contours seem near perfect. Smart move not to include too many cities. :D

Nice map. However I think you should include Örebro. Quite large city, and plenty of room for it. :)

I'd love to see a map of southern Norway someday. I might try to make one when I get more time.

A lot of maps here: http://images.google.com/images?q=norwa ... a=N&tab=wi

I think something like this could be nice: http://home.c2i.net/jarlk/sleire/images ... /Norge.jpg But Trondheim should be in it.

Although, I can't find any grayscale heightmap. :(

I was thinking if creating a scenario of south Norway but then I thought that Norway is way too mountanious to be able to have any fun with in Locomotion.

You might be right. But it would be fun to give it a try. If I'm going to make a map I will cheat a little with some topography. Make the mountains quite "smooth", not up-down-up-down-up-down if you catch my drift. Highest on Dovre and Hardangervidda, and gradually lower out to the coastline. And most of south-east norway is rather flat anyway.

Ampz I really had to tweak with the Photoshop filters to get the maps to turn out smooth. If you do a gaussian blur at about 1.2 it really helps the mountains and coastlines.

And thanks again for your tool. We need to make a map pack together of the 50 states over here in the US and sell it. (I know I need the money) ;)

Yes, bluring does wounders for the smoothness of the landscape.
