Italian Locomotion

Post by zubani »

Hi, I'm a new membrer of the forum; probably the only one italina fan!?!?!? Well, does someone know where I can find Italian vehicles???

I recognized in Locomotion an Italian train Class656, that is very useful for creating new italian trains, and also new vehicles divided into 2 parts, but i'm not able to create them
I send you some immage of 636, and also some others of similar italian trains
ciao
Thank you
Riccardo

Cool to see some Italian friends playing Loco :)

Having an FS set would be nice, we should just find someone to draw and code all of that stuff.

There's a thing which could be done right away though. As I'm sure you noticed, Loco's E656 (Caimano) is widely underpowered and much slower than it is in reality. This makes it an almost useless engine in the game, while it was very succesful and widely used in reality.
As a matter of fact, its true power was 4800 kW and the max speed was 160. Since it was (and still is) mainly used as a heavy freight or express passenger locomotive, there's simply no way an older Re 4/4 could easily overtake it while pulling a long train in reality as it happens in Loco. I laughed at it when I saw that in the game...

Do you think anyone could correct this?

(by the way, having the E656 on the same tracks as Swiss locomotives is inaccurate itself, as it worked with a different power voltage!)
