Bah!

I disagree completely. Possibly it should ask if you attempt for the last 25% as that would take over the company but certainly not on anything less. The primary reason for this is that I know how ruthless I and my flatmate play and I know full well that we'd block any acquisition simply to prevent the other from profitting of the others good playing.

I usually buy 75% right off at 200K and simply hold onto it until the game ends (when we choose for it to end) as that way you have many millions more in cash available when you sell that %.

Also, if somebody does make it so it asks they should ensure that you can only try and buy once every few minutes or so (unless the previous request was successful) to ensure you don't have more little things to annoy other players (like continuing to make requests every second to p*** them off).

There should be a different economical system. You should have the complete controle - until you decide to give out stocks. And then there has to be some kind of benefit for you - like fresh money coming in.

how about like stock exchange.
one player can buy share only if other player has declared "IPO - Who wants to buy my shares for XX% ?"..

Railroad tycoon (3) system was quite good. Separated player's and company cash. Players own company shares (usualy 10% when they start)

or simply ask if shares are for sale or not tickbox in company profile for company owner... and further to that the ability to buy back your shares if someone has bought them

I'd say you can only have shares once you have a HQ. Yes. That seems alright to me

This is implemented in the Subsidiaries patch. You can get the files required to try it in the subsisiaries patch topic

It should only ask for the last 75% if anything.
