The most important is HOW they are expanding ...
that would be better if roads in towns could be build always 2 squares between themselves ...

Seems like you're always having crashes, where nobody else has them
I would suggest, re-installing the game and getting a stable patch version
Well, back to work, lot's of it in the near future

Indeed. It must be annoying. Maybe it would fix all of ashleys problems..

An end to confusing posts? Perhaps...

Normally yes, you can even try the old 1.8.1, perhaps this one is more stable
Look in http://www.ttdpatch.com/old/

If this doesn't help , then perhaps there is something wrong with your software/hardware

You say you have a dual boot for XP / ME , why not install Win98 instead of ME and try TTD there ?

Maybe it can also be made that cities grow around stations, just like in reality.

Good idea, if ppl have to walk to the statino (limited catchment) then it makes sense that ppl would want to live nearlyby, so they don't have to walk far. I have yet to see a taxi arrive at my station with someone from cross town ;)

Well, if you downloaded ttd from the right site then it shouldn't need installling (mine didn't).

If you are refering to the patch, it should just be one prog in a zip file that you place in your ttd directory (as you have done to get the last patch to work.)

If you mean the new electrified train line graphics, simply do the same thing as you did with the new loco graphics that you downloaded.

Hope that helped :)
