What games are you playing (apart from TTD of course)

This is the place to talk about anything not related to Transport Tycoon itself.

Hmm It's not much help for real beginners... You must be sure to know HTML and some javascript before you start... Like I said, it's actually a schoolbook.

The book's name is
Internet & World Wide Web, How to program
Written by Deitel, Deitel and Nieto. (http://www.deitel.com)
published by Prentice Hall
ISBN number: 0-13-030897-8
My version is the second edition... It has different example scripts and includes some things that are not in the first edition.

 I must say I can't really understand but before you learn PHP, DEFINATELY learn HTML!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's no use to build a PHP script if you can't built a website around it now, is it...

I can advise getting a friend that knows sql... Then invite him over, but make sure you've installed PHPMYADMIN on your system (it's free, works with PHP, and will do the SQL for you). Then when he comes over you ask him for a simple example. Voila :D

What if you don't want to build a web site? The TTDPatch manual (CHM version) was partly created with a PHP script. And the TTSGM "check for updates" server script is in PHP, but doesn't output HTML.
