Wat ever happend to that TT3d game?

Post by Omegamrk »

It was german creation, i remeber i was with the first batch of alpha testers, it was named Transport tycoon 3d, it was buggy as crapola, but fun. It then it had a face lift and name change, and then another name change... i think it ended up being called Transport Magnant and it was about to be released when i posted on the forums that they should take some more time and incorporate multiplayer as Single player wasnt gonna last long. They agreed along w/the forums and delayed its release. Then my HDD got wiped out and my email deleted, i never found em again because the website was changed and all info removed. Anyone got anyinfo on what happened to it and where i can see it etc etc?

We have to be patient (for gamma-testers perhaps  ). I see they came a long way from beta 4. Beta 7 looks like what UbiSoft published, where alpha 4 looks worse then TTD  .

I was reading a german site just a few minutes ago and it has some news that Pop-Top and Take 2 are busy creating a new 3D train sim too. They hope it to be ready in October 2003. For those interested, I put the link below:

That game is "Truck And Trains Tycoon"!

I played it (the demo), looks exactly the same so it SHOULD be the same game... but it is quite boring...

Yes, RRT3. The sequel of RailRoad Tycoon 2, that is very similar to TTD, but only for trains. RRT2 was my favourite game, when came TTD...
I have lost my original user id for 20842 :(

I somehow didn't like RRT2... TTD was much more detailed somehow... the simplicity and the fun of watching a train move through a snowy mountain pass is just soo much better than connecting baltimore to philadelphia...
