Back on topic, how about a refittable 322/323/321 (as they all look pretty similar) into a 325 EMU (for mail) see below, i think it would be cool to have a network of 323s and 325s all running at the same speed. See below, its realistic too.
Class 325

Probably should be made overhead but 3rd rail would work too.

Dual voltage officially, like the 375's, but it will most likely be dedicated to the AC network.jdtech wrote:Ahhh, the Class 350, presumably the overhead electric version of the Class 450, which is 3rd rail for running in the South (where I live).
Cheers,

SWT have tacted an order for 10 dual voltage 450's {350's?} onto the end of the Silverlink order.
Cheers, Steve
First of all, the 325 is based vaguely on the 365, the 323 has no real relation to the 321/322, and a good part of Central's cross-country network isn't electrified. The only parts which are completely electrified are the WCML, the main line through Birmingham, and the Cross-City sections north/south and east/west. Given the 323s are in a pretty good state, and on the Central Network there's nowhere for them to cascade to from the Cross-City, I can't imagine where the Desiros fit in, apart from the occasional run from Liverpool to Rugby.

Whatever happened with Central in the end?
I dont like things as much now its all seperated into different franchises. I like it even less now that First, Anglia, and WAGN were combined to form 'One'. I HATE 'One'.
Anyways, for anyone that may still be interested in this, the class 322 isnt the Stansted Express trains, and hasnt been for years. I cant recall what class runs that now (though in body, they look similar - the face of the train aside) and i presume that they are pretty much the same. There are about 3/4 class 322 leased (i think) to 'One' for the time, though quite what they want them for now they have changed the timetables i am unsure. I have travelled between Ipswich and London in the a few times, and they are quite different to the 321 seating-wise. Different colour scheme, luggage racks, some tables, far better 1st class area, and even an old now disused telephone booth.
'One' also has a blue train, i am unsure of its class, but its made up inside virtually the same as the 322, and is in the North-West (i think) livery - the one with the giant gold star on the side.
Anyways, i would LOVE for these to be added to the game as i am rapidly losing interest with it for various reasons. I have asked for 321 to be made, but i think i would need to find further information perhaps. Whats the deal with the EMU situation in locomotion anyway? All EMU trains seem to be made up of 2-car units which run on third rail. Just not good enough!

This is the Stansted Express train type. I think it is made of a couple of styles of stock actually, one style seem to have a more curved roof than this but otherwise appears virtually the same. They have undergone a repaint since this time, and are undergoing a new one now also.

...class 317 i take it
