Replacing diagonal track

Post by Simon »

If you have some railway track that you've curved by 45 degrees (so it's diagonal to the squares) followed by some straight sections, and you remove any of the straight bits - how do you put those straight sections back? The tracklaying menu doesn't seem to offer diagonal directions unless you've only just laid a 45 degree curve. I can get round it by laying another 45 degree curve and removing it afterwards but that seems a bit silly.

Thanks!

Exactly, you'll get a proper directed section of straight rail then. Needless to say but that goes for all directions.

Thanks, yeah that makes sense.

Tracklaying seems to have a rather non-intuitive UI in many ways (especially compared to TT), but slowly getting there...

At least the curves look more realistic :-)

Are you trying to say that you don't see 45-degree curves in *your* everyday life? I know I do. ;)

I don't like the UI on track laying in LoMo :x
it is only suitable in RCT.

Well, that's a whole 'nother post entirely. Well, more like 'many posts'. :)
