East of England/East Anglia V2.0 Released!!!

Post by Davie_UCF »

Hey! Today I started work on my East Anglia map... Its not just East Anglia! but I dunno what else to call it as its not the South East either..

To give you a idea of what it covers...

Top left corner = Nottingham. Top Right = just above Great Yarmouth + Cromer
Bottom left = Reading Bottom right = just under Southend

So far all ive done is the land and placed main towns..

Id like your feedback. Its mainly flat.. Well East Anglia is flat compared to other places isnt it!? :D..

Id like idea's on other towns... and as i've put no Industries on it yet I wonder if theres any important industries that would suit certain towns.. You know? Also need a bit more water inland.. Any idea's where i should stick some rivers or lakes? :)

Enough rambling.. the attached pic shows the basic land and town placement! I tried to get the towns in close enough positions!

Edit: Updated to Version2 Includes Pikka's class42 warships and pullman coaches.

Davie, it looks smashing, and is all the more reason for the inclusion of overhead-powered EMUs - as that's practically all you'll see in that region.

I've played on it a bit more, and I've got four stations in London now... Fenchurch Street for a line to Southend, Paddington that runs a completely straight line to Reading, King's Cross/St. Pancras which runs two lines to Milton Keynes and Huntindon, and Liverpool Street which will (when I get around to it) connect to Norwich.

Excellent map! :o

Posted to the saved games thread - check it out. All of the main lines are complete, now I'm working on connecting all the lovely industries.

Make me a map please

Post by d00mh4mm3r »

Hay guys, im from australia and i was wondering if you guys could make a map of the states in Australia... I know its a long shot, but you guys seem to know what you are doing...
And later on, is it possible to get maps that are the states of different countries, (Australia first of course, then U.S. {As they have meny states} then germany... etc)
If you need a map, i could go and look for one just to help..
Also, whats the biggest map possible, as i have a layout and all, but i think its a tad big... as is an exact size to real states and stuff...
Thats why im asking..

Hi Davie_UCF

Ive sent you an email and a PM prior to this but they dont appear to have reached you.

Hope you see this..and when you do are OK with it.

Ive spent ages looking for the right map to use in a competition. This fits the bill very well with a few adjustments.

Justing letting you know I will preserve as much as possible of your great original map and details. You will get the credit for the original map both in the competition and within the tweaked scenario itself.

If you Davie, or anyone else, thinks this is not acceptable please let me know.
Regards
