Works for me:

Code: Select all

svn co svn://svn.openttd.org/trunk OpenTTD
TrueLight: "Did you bother to read any of the replies, or you just pressed 'Reply' and started typing?"
<@[R-Dk]FoRbiDDeN> "HELP, this litte arrow thing keeps following my mouse, and I can't make it go away."

doesn't work for me either...
I'm using TartoiseSVN, it doesn't find the hostname.
It doesn't work neither on windows(tartoiseSVN) nor on *nix like systems...
Same error...

I'm trying to figure out what the problem is, but it seems that it cant simply find the hostname...

ISP: Fastweb I'm in ITALIA (Italy)
All fastweb users are under nats, but i'm not having other problems with the access to internet, and yesterday the SVN was fine.
Some hosting providers are blocking incoming connection from some Fastweb nats resulting in all the users under that nat are unable to reach that host. I hope that's not the problem..

Great work with the code, maybe i can contribute with italian town names and updates to the italian translation that doesn't seems very up to date... And maybe some patch someday.

Hmm, you should try a connection from school/work, to see if it works.

Can you reach http://svn.openttd.org ? Are you sure the SVN port isn't blocked?

All translators are welcome! If you want to participate in either translating or coding, or making Italian townnames, etc. just do so. For translating, look in the translation topic, and either come to IRC (#openttd irc.freenode.net) or PM Bjarni or me for access to the translator system.

But yesterday it worked fine, several times. Kind of a wierd problem... Uff...

Hmmz.. if the http can be opened, so should svn.. it has the same IP, the same DNS.. so it is an internal problem!

I assume that svnserve runs on 3690. So:

telnet svn.openttd.org 3690
Trying 213.206.75.226...
telnet: connect to address 213.206.75.226: Connection timed out

dosn't work

So the problem is at your side :)

Code: Select all

telnet svn.openttd.org 3690
Trying 213.206.75.226...

( success ( 1 2 ( ANONYMOUS ) ( edit-pipeline ) ) )
TrueLight: "Did you bother to read any of the replies, or you just pressed 'Reply' and started typing?"

You right. :-) Our router by default have disabled binding to port 3690.
Now I checkout sources. Uff.... :-)

I would almost say something really bad....but won't do it.
I'm happy it works for you though.
