The newstations patch feature is pretty interesting. You can choose how will your buildings look like. But it is related only to stations. But here, in OpenTTd, there might be a feature to buy new buildings - just eyecandy. (Or might some efect on the city as well), something like in simcity or Industry Giant... Library, Museum, and so. Or industry related buildings to customsize the looks.

That would be cool. Like the newer simcitys you can buy landscapes and statues and... yea, that would be awesome.
