Can´t run patch

Hi,

I downloaded TTD somewhere (I don´t remember where anymore), and now I´ve also downloaded the patch (ditto), but when I run the patch, nothing happens.
What am I doing wrong?

(Maybe someone can send me his ttd folder through msn? Borgharen_Universe@hotmail.com)

If you start the patch from cmd or command (dos window), what does the patch tell you? (What kind of error).

When you run the TTDPATCH.EXE (or wotever it is) file, it should start the patch. If you just open TYCOON.EXE, it doesn´t.

i double clicked ttdpatch.exe (orsumtin´) but it didnt do anything, i didnt even get an error message

but i got it to work now, i just redownloaded the whole game and the patch, and now it works, but i have another problem, i cant refit any trains...

help...!

Have you tried to send them to the depot, and then double click on the deopot?

there is supposed to be a button with two crates in the window when you select the train, just like the cargo ship and stuff, right? well it isnt there...

refitting trains only works with certain trains: those that carry people
other trains can´t refit them !

Did you put it in the TTD Folder? It wont work otherwise...

Trainrefit on, lest´s you change to every cargo in the refittable trains. I don´t think that´s close to reality though. Who´ll fill a passenger train with coal?

Sure, there are some trains that carry 7 passengers, then i refit them to coal or whatever i am transporting
But only a few have that possibility
if you don´t do that then they may take 7 passengers and always drag them around , think of when you are transporting coal from a coal mine to a power station , but the coal mine is near a town , first the train would take 7 passengers and then your % at that station would come poor, i don´t like those ratings
so i refit them when i make them

I don´t use them for other transporting than passenger transporting.

It´s much cooler running three sh engines in front of a 20-30 cars long train.

I always have trains at full lengh, then I have 1 engine, 6 passenger cars and 3 mail cars.

3 mail cars? I only use that, when the service is initiated. Else, I seldom fill up more than one car of mail.

With big towns, you get A LOT of mail, especially later in the game.
