Deletion of oil rig dock

I was playing TTD patch alpha 29 and accadentally demolished the dock to my oil rig and I can't get it back, I find this very strange.

Try first building a lorry or bus station on the other slope of the little island and then buit the dock?

No, I have tried placing a bus station on every side of the oil rig it just makes another station instead of connecting to the existing one.

First remove the dock you built, then build something on the other slope like Arathorn said. If the new station doesn't connect to the oilfield you must either wait for the old dock to be removed or place it on another square that will connect to the oilfield.

When you've done that you can build a new dock that connects to the oilfield.

But oilrigs get a free dock that comes with them, just like their heliport. How did you manage to delete it?

Lundis:I can't connect to the existing station from any side because the only way to connect to an oil rig is to build next to the dock which is not there.

krtaylor: I built a bus station next to it so I owned the oil rig and when I was deleting the bus station I accadentaly deleted the dock instead.

OK, I follow you so far, but how did you delete the dock? There isn't a visible dock, and you obviously didn't delete the oil rig itself. Do you mean that, when you deleted the bus station, the "dock" (little ship icon by the station name) disappeared also? But not the "heliport"?

I clicked on the upper corner of the oil rig itself, now the oil rig is only 5 squares instead of 6.

EDIT:here is another screenshot with signs going around the oil rig to show that some of the rig is gone.

Now that is really wierd. I didn't know you could even do that. Oops, I guess.
