Order sanity check

Post by Celestar »

I've made a little patch that will warn you when:

1) A train has no more than one station in the order list
2) A train has the same station twice in the order list (successive order)
3) A train has a void order (from a deleted station)

Testing and feedback required.

Another interesting patch from Celestar, that I think should be inserted in svn as soon as possible. This is in the line of the "Train is lost" and "Train loses money" order. The more warnings, the less problems, the easier it will be to correct human errors in building networks.

next job...."autoplay" button :P

LOL J/K i totally agree with this one, although i would love it especially for airplanes.

i would also really like somthing that can tell statistics on a station. i.e. how many vehicles have that station on their list.

for airplanes especially i do not know if i need to add an airport to its route or add a new airplane, unless i wait by an airport for a long long time.

so being able to see that 6 planes use the airport would be totally awsome.

but this current addition is a definate bonus, keep up the good work.

Don't worry, I hope to have it for all other vehicles by tomorrow night, that I can upload it somewhere.

About that "autoplay" ... if it is as clever as the AI, I can gladly just forget it ;)

And that station statistic is on my list now, I'll see what I can do about it. But then there is still this catchment area and transfer stuff to improve and debug, still looking for tests and feedback.

Was a tad faster, works now for all types. I hope.

If I don't get any problems reported till tomorrow evening, I'll ask it to be included in the SVN (possibly after some prettymaking)
