Don't think what was meant but read what was written: GMT is the time your PC uses to determine local time. So check your PC clock and come to the meeting. The meeting that already should've started!

Wrong. GMT is "the mean solar time at the Royal Observatory, Greenwich", which doesn't take account of the hour difference in summer. So I write this at 1924GMT :)

Edit at 2000GMT - Now we're going :)

And, it's over. Minutes will be posted tomorrow.

Sorry, a bit later then expected but they're here: the minutes of last nights meeting. Mail me if something needs to be added or deleted.

NOTE: this are the minutes of the meeting from 9th April 2004, not 13th March 2004.

I see you haven't decided anything about the low-level UML diagrams, but agreed to work on it before next friday.

Please let me know what I should do to help on that part.

Can someone please post the minutes of the most recent meeting in this topic? I wasn't there but am very curious what was discussed. It's a rule of thumb to provide minutes within 24-48 hours btw. I noticed other people asking for the minutes too.

Great, I suggest we set another meeting? I'm afraid it get's stuck in good intentions again if we don't make some decisions soon.

If you can schedule for one at either 2000 or 2100 whatever-time-we're-in time on Saturday I should be able to make it.

Make it 2000. I don't want to miss Big Brother.

I don't know if we're UCT, GMT, GMT+1 or whatever at the moment. European time, it'll be 2100 I think.

During the summer, Britain is in GMT+1 (BST), and Central Europe is in GMT+2 (CST). During the winter, Britain is GMT, Central Europe is GMT+1 (CET). So 2000 BST is 1900 GMT and 2100 CST. All clear? ;)

So basically it's at 8:00.

Why can't we just have one time zone and stick with it?

I know, I know, it would completely f*** up every country that's not on the Greenwich Meridian...

use GMT
if you look at the bottom of the forum, it says "All times are GMT ± x Hour(s)"
so if the meeting is at 19:00 GMT, you will have to add 1 if it says "All times are GMT + 1 Hour"
Now I have no idea if it will be 19:00, 20:00 or 21:00 :?

UTC = GMT ± a few seconds. For all intents and purposes, they're the same. Though people are often confused by "GMT", not realising that in the summer we run an hour ahead in the UK. UTC doesn't suffer from such confusion, since it doesn't change. So, the arrangement is for 1900 UTC. That should be enough info to do your own maths :P

I'm gonna be there at 8:00. If I'm an hour late or early because of my ineptitude at mastering time zones, so be it.

Edit: I just logged onto mIRC to check it was working and I got a PM saying 'I am 30 year old male from India. Let me view you on cam'. Scary.
