Locomotion screenshots from arctic climate!

Post by Dan »

I think the Locomotion screenshots might be from the arctic climate, if you look at it they do look similar due to the fact that there is snow.

Dare to compare:

Stop complaining about the goddamn graphics!
The game isn't ready yet, and we can probably make our own graphics.

I was just pointing that out because typically the grass is not very bright in the arctic climate. Meaning that the graphics for the ground should look much better in the other climates! :P
Also the screenshots of locomotion are compressed.

I like the look of Locomotion myself. It does look more drab, but I think it's a better reflection of life. There's probably also going to be different "worlds" like in TTD, so the graphics sets may be different for different places.

If that's the arctic climate it looks like it's based on Switzerland or something when you look at the engines and bridges

Anyway, would it be hard to make new train grf's in this game? Any ideas?

Not a clue until this game is released and then someone writes a Patch for it with the appropriate stuff.

What I meant was,

Would it be hard to draw the train grf's if the game is in 3D

Maybe it would be easier to make 3D-models and convert these into 2D-graphics. :?
