Request: Developer presentation! Who are "they"?

Post by eobet »

Ok, a lot of people say "we" when others suggest something. "We" are looking into this. "We" are working on that.

So far, the only one I know of is Ludde (Strigeus on sourceforge, I think).

Has he put together a team to work on requested features? Where can I read about that, in that case?

Has a team of people decided to work on requested features themselves? Where can I read about that (fork), in that case?

Please don't post about volunteering to do work in this thread (yet anyway). I am interested only in those who already have done stuff.

Well, I would, if I could make any sense of complex C++ programs.

In fact, the main thing I completely don't understand is all those "fake" declarations of functions (the ones without "{ lots of code }", just a semicolon).

I haven't done anything yet, but I will in the future.

well put me in the list :)

I haven't done too much though, but the first feature was thanks to me (build on slopes and stations on slopes); with help from ludde of course :)

Working on bigger airports atm.

I'm an OpenTTD developer, having so far developed a bribe patch, PNG and PCX support for screenshots, work on new airports, train refitting (currently incomplete) and a variety of other bits and bobs. Oh, and I got Ludde to release OpenTTD. ;)

probebly we can have a file where we list all devs. Then the App can process this file and print the names at startup.

Oh, I didn't knew there was a about box. But well it might be a better solution.

You could put me on the list to, I wanted to help, but I need some time to get familiar with the code :)

Ooo, ooo, You could add me if you want. I'm ok with C/C++, and am vaguely familiary with the source now. I am quite busy over the next month or so, so will not be able to contribute anything big, but after then, I should have more time .
