Can't install the OpenTTD

Can't install the OpenTTD

When I try to install the openttd.exe, the installer does not accept the path of TTDLX.

It tells me, that it cannot continue without the correct transport tycoon deluxe location.

Im using the Win32 Version 0.2.1.

Im using the Win32 Version 0.2.1.
Do you already have TTD for Windows installed? During Setup, your Registry is examined for the TTD for Windows location. Setup can't continue without that.

Erm....I'm using the DOS Version of TTDLX.... :roll:

I don't think we support the DOS version of the files yet. You'll have to either have to find a Windows version, or wait for somebody to implement support for the DOS version . . .

I don't play OTTD because I cannot load any savegame from TTD/TTDPatch .. and any scenario
what are you looking at? it's a signature!

Are the grafix files really much different?

There are TRG1.grf, TRGC.trf, TRGH.grf, TRGI.grf and TRGT.grf.

Did you try it? It would be kinda annoying, if it just dont work because the setup routine blocks it.... =/

EDIT: Ok guys, I found an patched and edited windows version which runs under winXP somewhere - i guess it isn't really illegal, cause i got the original DOS Version from 1995. =D

OpenTTD works with it and I havnt got any problems so far. Thx. =)
