I got an idea to make road signs to intersections, but it seems like it can´t be done in TT.......here´s what it looks like..


here comes the bus....

Is there a way to define a part of sprite to "more front"...?
like lightpoles and trees....i doubt it..
if the whole road sprite was defined more front, busses would drive under the road.......

Can't be done, no. All ground sprites are flat on the ground no matter how you draw them...

Well you could try using the trees, because they're not flat, but I don't think it would work very well.

This would require newgrf support for road graphics...

if it would be possible with TTDPatch to put there a transparent sprite (in default) for crossing which would act as a tree (above the road) and modify that sprite :)

this kind of signs would work with current TT, but only on rural areas of the cities.I guess those smaller buildings are flat on the ground too?
(and so couldn´t be made taller)?

or i guess in this picture the sign doesn´t go on the small building sprite,
just the lawn sprite......that´s of course flat on the ground...just noticed..

oh, just forget the whole sign idea...i might continue working on that airport i started a while ago....
