Hi Garry,

Thank you very much for investigation and suggestions. Indeed when I have only Quast Road set and Eyecandy TramTracks it works perfectly fine (like in a situation when either of this set is present in a list of all my newgrfs). So I went over all my GRF and found who is creating this problem. It is STGFX Trolleybus set. Interesting that it's not caused by this set itself, but by optional parameter 'Use roads from this NewGrf'. I think, it's enabled by default. When turned it off, everything works well (including beatiful trolleybuses from STGFX set).

So lesson to learn is to check not only set itself, but parameters attached to it too :)

Regarding this comment:

alan98 wrote: 13 Aug 2026 16:09 I'm talking about Jarsey barrier (concrete, on left hand size of the picture) between two lines in opposite directions? If you decide to implement, I think we just need one on right or left hand side depending on what you preffer as it can be easily paired with other lane (without eyecandy track) effectively creating a concrete barrir between lanes.
They look good .. see some places have plastic ones some red and also seen yellow.
Also been working on what we call islands between the roads. Some are all concrete and some concrete edging with grass in middle. Just the curves have me beat at the moment.
Should you draw specific curves for the concrete block in the middle or it's done automatically (as technically it is a tramtrack). If second, I think we should be already fine, because for example steel safeguard rail has perfect shape in the curves and if concrete one will have the same, it's done :)

Cheers,
Alan

It a strange problem. Use either one with out the other everything else works fine. But when we put these 2 together seems they don't like some other road and tram sets.

If all goes well will look at the concrete blocks and a idea I have with traffic islands next weekend.

started working on the blocks ..curves and slopes are being a problem but will keep trying ideas.

The problem where this set conflicts with other roads .. the error is somewhere in MYcoding .. whether or not I be able to find time will tell.

Auzeyecandytram_v07

I made some "Jersey Barriers" which I called Concrete Barriers.
Forgot to change the version to v08 .. hope to remember to do this when I fix a few minor things with the curves in the barriers and in process to add Center Islands.

In mean time welcome to test the barriers and see what you think and if any errors I might have missed.

Thanks Garry!

I tested and like it!

Probably one suggestion if possible: add a small red element acting as an illuminating side elemnt pretty much the same as you already did with steel barriers.

Seen by your photo you uploaded of the barriers they have a yellow reflector on th sides. I don't drive anymore due to old injuries so not been on any highways in a long time to see what they have in Australia on the concrete barriers.

and added Traffic Islands to use with duel road.
Unable to get the islands working properly at Intersections. Maybe I will figure a way later.
Like to do a another set with grass on the islands but that not happen till next weekend at earliest.

Hi Garry,

Really nice! Thank you! Just an idea (if you're not borried yet to work with Tram Tracks): in addition to concrete islands add a pedestrian bolevard similar to:

Image

It can be done with already available object but it means that one tile should be allocated per two lanes road, which is quite expensive even on a large map. So eyecandy tram track will give aestetic view without taking extra tiles.

Hi Gary,
I want to say BIG THANKS for this newgrf! It's definitely one of the most useful mods in the game

However, would it be possible to not alter the order of the "tracks"...? After the last update I have to rebuild all my map, which I've been constructing for last two years. And I'll do that, of course, but just for future, is it possible to avoid bigger changes when updating the file?

Once again - it's great and I'm very grateful for your work!

I'd also like to ask about different thing. This is your footbridge taken from Auz Town Objects Add-Ons:

Image

One of my favourite small object in the game. It's also prepared for the overlapse version, however, just in one direction. It means the player is able to omit just one field, therefore it's impossible to build this footbridge over two-track railway or the highway.

Would it be possible to add also the overlapse into the other direction? Or overlapse for 2-3 fields? Or maybe even would it be possible to prepare another version of the footbridge (with another appearance)?

Of course it's your work, it's your time and I'm not demanding anything - just asking. Thank you, once again, for your work, and keep it up!

Thank you for your feed back moof. It was not intentional for those last few additions to be be in the order they ended up .. All items in that set have their own ID number which should have placed them at the bottom of the list in correct order, but for some strange reason they did not and I not been able to figure out why.

I never plan for that bridge to cross land .. just water. But what you suggest might look good. Maybe a ramp each end of the bridge and have it so matches the white bridge. I it was to cross railways and roads probably need to cross at least 3 or 4.

Will see what idea I can come up with.

EDIT:
Maybe something like this (image the rails and roads are going under the path bridges.
Already have the ramps, just need the pathways to overlap.

While I got some idea hope to work on these next.
The bridge sections over the water like to do some more that has people walking across them.

Thank you. I do some with people and bikes crossing them and might look good with the white line down the middle of paths.

EDIT: Woops put these in the wrong section .. should be in AuzObect section.

Started wrking on the overlap footbridges to cross over roads and railway tracks.

Heres a preview.
Path overlap footbridges.png
Path overlap footbridges.png (103.96 KiB) Viewed 852 times
There several choices to scroll thru.
* With no lights no pedestrians
* With no lights but has pedestrians

* With lights no pedestrians
* With lights with pedestrians

This set overlap 3 tracks/roads.

When trying to over lap more does not work real well. For instance with over lap 4 .. the 4 road can some times be seen thru the bridge.

Not sure when you be able to use this ..

Cheers

AuzObjectsAddOnsV20

Done to overlap footbridges to go over 2 and 3 rails and roads,
(Southern overlaps do not work succesfully as other objects will hid the overlap and vehicles will go over them instead of under.
Northern overlaps if do too many the furtherest ones glitch often. You will notice some times with those that overlap 3 roads and rails).
There are 6 to choose from .. just keep clicking on it till you find the oe you like.
I've included the game file and the source.
Path overlap footbridges 2.png
(185.34 KiB) Not downloaded yet
Next I going to see if can make pedestrian crossing to cross the roads. Southern overlaps should work ..

EDIT: Woops put these in the wrong section .. should be in AuzObect section.

A few ideas I have reading some of the ideas from you and others.
Asked about banners over the roads and traffic lights. Could put these in one set but because some countries drive on the wrong side :P of the road will need to do 2 sets to cater for those.
Also wonder about level crossing.

Yes, it's true that in some places you drive on the wrong side  And how do you drive in Australia? On which side?
Do you know what I thought? It won't be realistic. But what if the traffic lights were just in the middle of the road? Well, I know, it's stupid :-D

The CZTR team has solved the railway crossings very well. But only with their tracks and roads... So if you don't like 32Bpp and extrazoom, they won't be useful.

Anyway, thank you very much
And I wish everyone a nice day 8)
