Well I'm currently heading as far north as I can. Flying to Kiruna, and then driving around Lofoten and Tromsø in Norway. That'll cool me down. Looks like 14-16 degrees in the coming days.

My daily these days is a Golf class Audi, the A3. It's better than a BMW (obviously) but I think worse than a Mercedes.

No, I had moved onto GRAPE. I have had Wordle success with STEAM, BRAIN (5 days later), PLANE, and GRAPE.

Apparently the NY Times has started to repeat old words though, I'm not sure how I feel about that (especially if one of my previous winners comes up again!)

There are only so many reasonably common five letter words before you sort of must start reusing those from 4-5 years back.

Oh dear no, I would rather walk than use an Actros! It was some sort of C-class hybrid thingy.
In other news, I've just returned from a Canada trip which means I have in total, over 4 visits, crossed the entire country coast to coast!

Saw Sigur Rós last night for, hmm, the 4th time in my life (plus I saw Jónsi on his solo tour in 2010). This time though was the first time I've seen them with an orchestra, and it was absolutely fantastic, and rather moving. Highly recommended if you get the chance!

I do recall you often posting Sigur Rós in the "Whatcha listening 2 @ da moment?" thread way back when. They've been with you for a while now, have they not?

Twas late 2005 that I first discovered them, as a number of my friends at uni were into them. Saw them live in 2008 (twice, as I booked their show in Bournemouth - quite a distance from St Andrews - before they then announced a Glasgow show a few days later), saw Jónsi in 2010, then saw Sigur Rós again in 2022 and then this week.

What I find quite impressive is that Jónsi can still belt out the falsetto at the age of 51, albeit perhaps quite not as intensely as he did when he was in his 20s and 30s, but it's still pretty spectacular.
