Replying here since it's the dev thread :P
Lionic II wrote: 14 May 2026 13:27 A propos South America has no narrow-gauge electric locomotives. Maybe you could add a couple?
I added a couple: the E-100 you suggested (with animations), a boxcab from the Tocopilla Railway, and a small 3ft boxcab from Venezuela (first engine of that country!). In addition there's still the Fc al Pacifico from Costa Rica added from last release - I added it at the same time it was added in 2ccNML so my version will overwrite the upstream version to use my sprites.

The East African horsepower should be fixed as well, plus a bunch of other things.

I also added new Swiss rolling stock from the Montreux-Oberland Bernois : an electric locomotive, and the coaches from the GoldenPass Express (with a driving cab), but now I'm not sure what's best to keep it consistent with 2ccNML - have a trailer as a separate item, or always have a cab for the last coach of a consist?

You killed me! I had no idea Venezuela had electric locomotives. Very few information on it s locomotives even compared to the rest of Latin America.

Costa Rica is considered North America in 2CC so I did not count it.

BTW do you know any technical details on SQM E650? I could not find any.

Ahah great :) I got the info here: http://www.tramz.com/ve/lc/lc.html with most of the technical information in this article (in French): http://www.tramz.com/ve/lc/lcbb.html Only one I couldn't get is the tractive effort, so I gave a quite high given that it was used in a mountain railway (and is otherwise quite light).

Similarly for the FCTC E-100 I took the tractive effort for another GE Boxcab of 1925.

The SQM E650 also got my eye but indeed I could barely find anything! Spanish wiki gives a power of 1200 hp (see table here: https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ferrocarr ... la_al_Toco) but their reference is then to a dead website in Spanish...

EDIT: This gave me the idea to look a other Brown-Boveri review, and one of them covers the FCTC E-100! I'll double check the numbers I have with the specifications in there: https://library.e.abb.com/public/e08909 ... 9_e_04.pdf

Some random suggestions (again):
- KTM Class 22 (Malaysia) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/KTM_Class_22.
- EL1 (Zimbabwe). No separate info page on this one but pictures could be found https://live.staticflickr.com/3938/1574 ... 1d63_b.jpg, and stats are included in the description for the video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CyLqGH5xy0g

Some African stuff that I am eager to see done but lack technical data
- 2B (Congo and probably Madagascar and Cameroon) or BB 400. Smaller brother of BB-BB 300 from the main set. Photos are available in Facebook group dedicated to Congo Ocean railway https://scontent.fiev27-1.fna.fbcdn.net ... e=6A15FF51. One comment mentioned that the locomotive has 1800 hp engine instead of 3600 on BB-BB 300.
- Soule autorail (operated in Mali, Madagascar, Ivory Coast). https://www.cfd.group/photos/railcar-mali--1176. In Madagascar it was known as ZE 700 and if I understood the description correctly it has 950 hp engine and could carry 34 passengers in first class. During the testing it reached 150 kph speed (on meter gauge, on African track!).

Good catch, thanks. I fixed it for next release; but BaNaNas is down these days so I can't really publish anything there.

Thanks! These would be nice to have eventually. I unfortunately won't be able to add much stuff for the next month because I have to submit my PhD thesis in like three weeks 8o

The Zimbabwe EL-1 were apparently designed by Brown-Boveri but I didn't find anything about them in the archives, so no idea about the specs :(

There are some Soulé autorails described here for the Ethiopian railways; we don't have any Ethiopian train in either 2ccng or 2ccts so that would be nice to have.

In terms of tropical engines you may like, there is also a steam autorail from the Kayes-Niger railway in Mali that would be quite interesting to have given that we have zero steam autorails for Africa so far, I could dig some more documentation:

Did not know about steam railcar. Regarding the specs for African trains--couple of nights with Janes World Railways and Facebook groups gave me what I have been looking for so I should be able to provide the data when you decide to work on them.

I have released the latest version on BaNaNas and/or to download directly from the attachment on the release thread (viewtopic.php?t=92412). I'm not sure where else you want me to release since I don't know other release channels?

Ah - Unfortunately the OpenTTD port on Android is unofficial and has not been updated since v14.1, while this NewGRF requires v15.0 at least (given how the badges are handled in NML for instance). I

Even if it’s not what you want to read: simply not. As althanos wrote: „Unfortunately the OpenTTD port on Android … has not been updated since v14.1, while this NewGRF requires v15.0 at least …“. You will not get a NewGRF which needs to run on OpenTTD 15 with your installation of OpenTTD 14.x. Once the Android port has been upgraded to a basis of OpenTTD 15 or later and you installed it, the new version of the 2CC set will also be available for you to download.
