Hello, so I have played this game on and off for several years, but I am far from an expert. Anyways, I am having a few issues with industries and production. So at the moment I am playing Open Loco, and I have a train that carries chemicals to a factory which produces goods. From there, I have trucks that carry the goods to the adjacent large city and stop at a few depots throughout the city. The thing is the output seems to be very limited from both the chemical plant and the factory, and I am wondering how to increase this. Also, most of the time when I click on the factory, it says it requires chemicals to produce goods, even though I have two or 3 trains that run often enough that there is usually not much waiting time for a train to arrive at a station. I also made the stations max length and made the trains match the length of the platform.
So what can I do to increase production so that the factory makes more goods and shows it is producing them, and am I correct that I am supposed to deliver the goods to the city? Do I need to concentrate the depots near the office buildings?
Thanks

Re: Need help with industries.
From my experience, the main thing that will help a industry get 'Production Up' is getting the "Production Transported" to 100%. To do this, it is required that you have at least 2 separate stations with trains that 'wait for a full load' at both.
For the goods delivery to the city, when you hover your mouse over the station, it should say "Accepts Goods". If it does not, you will either need to wait until the city grows more or move your station closer to the buildings that accept goods.

Thank you for the help. However, I have a few follow-up questions.lrac000 wrote: 13 Jul 2026 02:01 From my experience, the main thing that will help a industry get 'Production Up' is getting the "Production Transported" to 100%. 1) When you say I need two stations, does that mean I need 2 stations at both the chemical plant and the factory? The thing is, I don't have any trains that pick up the goods. I just have some trucks that take the goods to a nearby large city, where I have some depots throughout. I don't know if making my trucks also wait for a full load would help, and building 2 depots next to the station.
2) Does that station still need be close to the buildings if I use trucks to transport the goods? The factory happens to be close to a city but not touching it, which is why I used trucks instead of trains to carry the goods,
3) Am I correct in thinking that you need to deliver the goods to depots throughout the city as the final step in the chain?
