Relocate the bomb option to the main toolbar
Hi there, i just wanted to address a flaw in OpenTTD: The bomb/demolish icon is in every single construction toolbars. This include, but not limited to: Rail constructions window, Road constructions window, Waterway construction window, Airport construction window, and Landscaping window. This is not consistent, and annoying. So i just wanted to suggest the relocation of the bomb button to the main toolbar, as opposed to being confined in every construction window, because that way, you won't have to open a construction window, just to click on a bomb, and demolish any buildings, etc. Thanks.

Which is probably why it is where it is. Seems too easy to make a mistake and demolish stuff you don't want to if it's on the main toolbar.LazytownSportacus wrote: 27 Feb 2026 14:45 ......... open a construction window, just to click on a bomb, and demolish any buildings, etc. Thanks.
Just my opinion.

I think the demolish button should be only in landscaping toolbar.
If one wants to have it during construction there is option to link landscaping toolbar every time construction toolbar is open.

What the issue is exactly? If you're building roads you have quickly access to demolition tool. Same when building rail, trams etc. If you want it you can choose any toolbar and get it there quickly or just press D on keyboard.

What bothers me much more is the "delete" button in the command entry window, which deletes all entered commands without any prompting.
Clicking on a bomb is a small thing, deleting 50 commands is much worse.

I know, but this is an inconsistency, and not useful. Relocation to the main toolbar is necessary.Captain Rand wrote: 27 Feb 2026 16:06Which is probably why it is where it is. Re: Relocate the bomb option to the main toolbar
It would be the only "direct action" button on the main toolbar, and it would even be the most destructive of them all. It would be a huge betrayal of the user interface standards the game has followed for the past 20+ years. No, if anything I agree it could make sense to move to only the landscaping toolbar,
But get used to pressing D on the keyboard. In general, the keyboard shortcuts are extremely convenient to use.
