It is crazy to think it took 36 years to get from Fuerteventura to a bar.
Clearly wasn't that desperate for a pint after all

Me again, whoops! Appears I like to travel atm! Anyways, on the train home from another long weekend away, this time in the lovely city of Budapest!

Thursday 19th June
LTN-BUD (W62204)
Wizzair Airbus A321Neo (HA-LVI)
Seat 22F

First time ever flying out of Luton, having only ever previously arrived there. The departures area seems compact, but works well. I may have been fortunate with timing of my flight though, as it could have been quieter as a result.

The flight itself, I don't really remember anything from, which I suppose is a positive! Certainly nothing to note anyway. Also had my first of an eventual 27 different Hungarian beers on the flight (that might be why I can't remember it tbf!)

Arrival into Budapest saw us put on a Schengen gate due to the aircrafts next flight, and then bussed around to the non-Schengen part of the airport. Here Passport Control was relatively slow, but I got through in the end, even using an E-Gate prior to the stamping, which is the first time I've done that in Europe since Brexit.

Tuesday 24th June
BUD-STN (FR2517)
Ryanair Boeing 737 MAX 8-200 (EI-IHF)
Seat 32C

Budapest Airport was rather quiet, and very quick to get through. Found a bar doing a Full English, so had a wee bit of food, as the relatively early (0950) flight departure time meant no time to do this before leaving the City.

The non-Schengen area was rather large at the Airport, but very quiet at the time of my flight, as we were in a relatively quiet period for departures towards the UK or Asia.

Despite the glorious weather in Budapest, we had quite a bit of turbulence on departure, which made for quite a bumpy ride out.

Approach into Stansted was similarly bumpy, with the aircraft battling the wind down to touchdown, but after a typically fast Ryanair landing and the following heavy braking, it was just a quick walk to Passport Control which was complete empty upon my arrival again. I'm quite enjoy being greeted by 20+ open e-gates on my arrival!

Triple post, whoops! Another long weekend, this time across Northern Italy.

Friday 27th June
BHX-LIN (U26679)
EasyJet A320-200 (G-EZOI)
Seat 17E

First time flying out of Birmingham, which was very much a building site. Wetherspoon's in the airport was rather crowded, but managed to grab a table for myself and my friends who I was travelling with.

Flight itself was delayed over an hour on departure from Birmingham due to a delay on the inbound from Dalaman, followed by police attendance upon it's arrival, but it wasn't a major issue.

Arrival into Linate saw a remote gate with a very cosy bus transfer to the terminal, but no major issues. Quickly through passport control, with a very faded stamp!

Monday 30th June
TRS-STN (FR169)
Ryanair 737-800 (9H-QEF, operated by Air Malta)
Seat 15E

It looks like my run of seat luck has run out, after two flights on the trot with a middle seat, ah well!

Trieste Airport was very much a garden shed vibe of an airport, with a lack of even a proper Duty Free facility or bar. A fairly bumpy departure with the seatbelt sign remaining on for one of the longest periods after takeoff that I can recall.

Landing at Stansted was smooth, and managed to get rapidly through the airport to get on the 1815 back to London for my train home.
