Depot orders
Ctrl + click on a depot while giving orders now gives the vehicles the order to unbunch at the depot. I very rarely use the unbunch functionality because I prefer to use timetables to spread the vehicles evenly, even in the newest version. Is there a way for me to change it back so that Ctrl + click would instead give vehicles the order to service if needed at the depot? That's something I use all the time, because then I have full control over when and where vehicles go to service and I don't have to worry about vehicles getting lost, since they don't search for depots on their own. What used to be the matter of one click is now much slower and more tedious process with higher probability of making a mistake, because sometimes I overlook one of the depot orders which makes the vehicle unnecessarily visit the depot every single time it goes by.

It would be good to add a simpler way to do it, although there might already be.Lolookie wrote: 05 May 2025 16:38 Ctrl + click on a depot while giving orders now gives the vehicles the order to unbunch at the depot. Really, I think that single-clicking a depot should do a service order rather than stopping at the depot. It's not a very useful default IMO.
Yet Another PathFinder has become The Only PathFinder. What the effect of the change from YAPF to TOPF is, only time will tell.
Re: Depot orders
I completely understand your frustration, Lolookie! The change in Ctrl+click functionality for depots can definitely disrupt established workflows, especially for those who prefer manual control over servicing.
While I haven't found a direct way to revert the Ctrl+click behavior back to 'service if needed,' have you explored the possibility of using the 'Conditional Orders' feature, if your game version has it? Sometimes you can set up a conditional order like 'Go to depot if vehicle needs service' at a specific point in the timetable, which, while not a single Ctrl+click, might offer a similar level of controlled servicing without vehicles randomly seeking depots.
Alternatively, some games allow for keybinding customization. It might be worth checking if there's an option in the game's settings or an openttd.cfg-like file to rebind the 'service if needed' command to a more convenient key combination.
I agree with kkidslogin that a single-click 'service if needed' would be a far more intuitive default for depot orders. It's a fundamental aspect of fleet management.
