Making my own New GRFs

Im looking to learn how to make my own new grfs. What language should I learn and/or what website or program can help me develop them? Any suggestions?

I also became interested in GRF and learned a few small things. We have a group of new members to share questions about tools, languages and GRF-related issues. Do you want join?
