how to 'close' an airport?

recently in a game of the original its build some airport's in spots I've been meaning to do, like straight up to a bank, how do i get rid of it?

In the original game you cannot buy out a competitor, so the only way would be to sabotage their business to let them go bankrupt. When that happens, all inftrastructure of the company going out of business is removed.

There's two things you can try.

One thing you can do against a competitor airport is compete on ratings, i.e. make a service covering the same area as the airport in question and make sure your station ratings are consistently much better than at the airport, so the airline is starved for cargo and ends up running at a loss.

The other thing is buy exclusive transport rights via the town local authority, and keep doing that until the competitor closes the line from getting no business. (I can't remember if exclusive transport rights exists in TTO, if it doesn't then this obviously can't be done.)
