It's because there is also a template replacement set on that group.
The template replacement fails becuase there is not enough money, but there is enough money to autorenew the vehicle.
The error about the template replacement failure is shown using the vehicle ID before the autorenewal, not afterwards.
I'll see that this is fixed before the next release.

I don't use templates for changing groups, the vehicles are automatically changed one at a time and there is no problem there. :)

A very nice parameter is the minimum distance between cities. It is very helpful in generating a playable map.
On mountainous maps there is another problem, industry fills the valleys so that it makes the game unplayable. Is it possible to create a parameter determining the minimum distance between industrial plants?
How can you then solve the problem of shops, hotels, banks, gas stations and others related to cities?

I have a problem. Unsure if it's because I am using conditional orders or not (they are set to assume they will be taken in the settings).

As seen in the attached screenshot (Departure Board 1), there is a train waiting at a station, timetabled to leave at 30 minutes past the hour. As the time shows, it is 25 minutes past the hour, and yet the departure is not on the pictured departure board. For reference, the train arrived at this station at around 45 minutes before it is due for another departure.

The second screenshot shows a similar situation with the same train and departure as the previous one, but the issue is not apparent. There is three minutes before the train is due to arrive at the station before it then leaves again one minute later. The only difference here is that this station does not have a dispatch slot assigned to it.

The problem that I am seeing is that, with the departure being 45 minutes into the future, the departure board does not appear to want to display this information. Is there an upper limit to a train arriving at a station and its next departure showing on the corresponding departure board or am I missing something?

Wait until train arrives at Poulton-le-Fylde at xx:43 past the hour (departing at xx:30 past the hour, 47 minutes later). Then compare that to when the train has arrived at Twyford at xx:28 past the hour (departing at xx:45 to the hour, 17 minutes later).

Here is the save file.
The next departure in this case is at 06:30, and that's beyond the limit for the departure board settings that you're using, given that you're using a high ticks per minute and a low day length.
I'll see about adjusting the departure board settings.

If I'm building something, sometimes I get a trace after the cursor square. I thought my games had already been damaged a lot by the changes, but now this has happened in the new game as well. A white line remains there, it disappears after zooming in and out. Just build a piece of new road and then move the cursor over it.
In the picture, a mysterious artifact under the object of the castle in the new game.

This is exactly what I was worried about, so I asked if there were known issues listed anywhere. Thanks, I'll have to get used to opengfx. :)
I find that I don't mind so much that the main toolbar in opengfx is smaller, but that there are graphics around it that distract from it.
It's strange that this only appeared now, apparently as the problem with missing sprites gradually increases.

This is because tile edges between regular 1x sprites and zBase 4x sprites are different, and don't (and can't) line up nicely. This isn't anything new. Basically for best results with extra zoom graphics you need to use all or nothing; don't mix 1x and 4x sets.

You could try the setting that limits graphics to 1x versions, but then you might as well just use the correct baseset anyway :-)

Thank you for the explanation, it is clear and understandable. Where I have the opengfx+ landscape, it's also less angry. I'll try to use opengfx instead. :)

Hey JGR, I've been using your patch pack for years and really enjoy the extra bits that are added and I keep stumbling upon features that have been there for years.

One question I have is regards to oil wells, I'm not using ISR style industry packs at all and for some reason if I start a new game I don't have any oil wells spawn either at the start of the game or through the years. Is there a particular reason for this?

Why is the offer of road bridges the same as railway? The toolbar button is also the same. Again a new game

One question I have is regards to oil wells, I'm not using ISR style industry packs at all and for some reason if I start a new game I don't have any oil wells spawn either at the start of the game or through the years. Is there a particular reason for this?
If you're not using any industry GRF at all, you'll be using the vanilla industries. In which case oil wells do not spawn in game after 1950. They should still be created at map generation time though.

This is a problem with whatever GRF that is.
Edit: This looks like OpenGFX. You can fix the issue by setting the UI scaling to 1x.

Set UI scaling to 1x? Impossible. I can hardly see the buttons.
But that's tolerable, unlike the hideous graphical artifacts on the square borders. :)

Question :

I have this 7 car articulated light rail vehicle (RV). By default, the vehicle carries tourists in the first and last car and passengers in the other ones. I can also refit the entire light rail train to all passengers or all tourists. That all works.

But I haven't found a way to refit the train back to passengers and tourists (the default configuration). Is there a way to do that ?

Also, The naming of road vehicle depots is : '<town> Road Vehicle Depot #nn'. Would it be possible to use the 'new engine text' (road/tram-type property 0x0D) to name depots, like : '<town> <new engine text> Depot #nn'. May be with having to set an extra flag. It would make more sense when naming depots with the multitude of different vehicle types we now have.

Thats what I thought vut my game started in the early 1800's, and I'm sure there is no oil wells being spawned even in the mid 1850s.
