Just got to look at ideas to use them with the Base signs and Entrances.

Let you all try what I been doing and those new additions of shelters and MPs. Just be careful in case the dogs bite :D .

Nice idea so can be used for hospitals and other facilities.

Can you also add one with blank signs?
I second that request ;-)

Maybe also versions with a couple of fencetypes (if possible/easier as multi-select)

EDIT:
Maybe also place both beams in the middle, next to the securitybuilding (and also the white Stop-stripe)
That way if both beams are closed the road is fully closed too (better for securityreasons and also left/right handdrive things ;-) )

Those overlaps I did have both UK an US designs .. just a matter of clicking till you find them.

Not sure hoe those beam will work in middle of road .. might conflict as they be overlaps .. but I will try for curiosity.

Not in the middle of the road, but in the middle on the sides (so next to the security building)

Well, I think its easier to have just one type, so you dont have to worry about left/right-handdrive.
Would also maybe make it easier to make more variations with fences/walls next to them.

Is that why we leave the gates open as not to disturb them from the game on their phones?
Seen a good karma last week .. teenagers trying to jump up and break the lights under the awning of a bus stop .. his phone has in his shirt pocket and when he jumped up to hit the light the phone came out of his pocket and had a smashing time on the concrete. :D

That would be good as well.

Keep the roads open so cars can drive them, and have a closed version as objects but with road style ground pieces when fully closed?

I think they do look a lot nicer then the other idea.

Looking on internet at different entrances to military bases many have flags at the entrance. So need to put thinking caps on how I can make another set of flags so they can be placed at entrances as well. Maybe overlap flags so can be added to any of the entrance designs?

I go have breakfast and maybe that will help me think of a idea.

If no one has any objects like to change the overlap security gates so be like these.

By moving the guards hut to one end near tiles edge it will allow a better set up with various fences and signage.

Also looking at a new brick fence. Hope to try do some sloped ones as well.

The open gates might look good as a overlap for roads?

EDIT:
Added some more security fences to AuzMilitaryObjects. (There is no room left in AuzFenceObjects for these).
These can be mixed and match and use any combination of the 3 designs.

Next question what road type should I place at the gates?
Also like to do overlaps with the open gates so vehicles can pass through.

I like the design of the yellow security gates, just not sure if it is fitting for modern military bases...
It looks too "classic" for me, more Roman/Medieval or maybe even Middle-Eastern.
I think it is mostly the very thick pylons...
Do keep it in, it looks great!

Something that gives me more of a feeling of a high security gate, is a wire mesh (or sleek brick/corrugated iron) fence, that has a light on it.
Doesnt have to be on the fence, could also be a lightpole standing next/behind it (for security reasons I can imagine that on the inside is better :mrgreen: )
I wouldnt put it on every tile, but maybe make a set without a light and a set with a light (in the middle), so a player can alternate between them.

Maybe also with MP's (and dogs) walking besides it.
Next question what road type should I place at the gates?
Do you mean for the non-passable non-overlap single tile objects?
Isnt it posiible to choose a roadtile as basetile for objects?
That way the game automatically takes the roadtype that the player has loaded, right?

I got that idea from gates at a place called Balcombe (it came up in my search for Australian military bases entrances .. but whether it is in Australia no idea) :roll:

Maybe another mesh fence like I did but a bit dirtier look? And I could add those corrugated ones I did in AuzFenceObjects?

The signs I did was from a idea of a military base .. the lighting was on the ground shinning up at the signs. Your idea worth looking at.

Yep .. it the non-overlap gates I thinking of. No idea if can detect the road a player is using. Maybe I could multi-select these gates with a variety of road types. Maybe 1/2 dozen and just maybe one be suitable to what players are using.

Shall look at more coding the drawing tomorrow. Almost 8.30 pm here and time to switch on the old picture box and see if there is a movie to watch.
