Co-development / encouragement around Isometric sprite renderer

Post by SuperVGA »

Hi TT-Forums Dev section!

It's been a while for me. University, job, kids etc.
Well I've been developing on the side of my full-time development job. A lot.
But although I've always dreamt of making games, I tend to get stuck.
So, I've had little partial projects that deal with particular problems.

Lately I've made a MagickaVoxel parser and renderer.
At the moment it's just flat-shading, and comes up looking like this (although not as janky since I did the centering of the frames in the gif manually)

Now I want to contribute to something besides projects at work, and I've always been a fan of Transport Tycoon.
Do you guys think we could join forces on making a tool allowing easier sprite creation using MagickaVoxel and my little program? Or does that already exist?
To some degree I live to please and take great enjoyment in knowing my work is being used. I'm really just looking for people to spar with, not programmers (neccessarily)

If this isn't the right forum, or this is totally obsolete, please do tell.

There is gorender https://github.com/mattkimber/gorender
And grf-py also has a simple vox renderer: https://github.com/citymania-org/grf-py ... x_house.py

Aw man. Thanks @_dp_, yes, those are exactly the sort of tools I was hoping to make. Oh well, I'll find something else to do - just looking for confirmation is all. :-)
