I beg to differ! :D Those are the default station lengths for TTO, TTD and OpenTTD! Except for the Sub-Tropical climate, I have never failed to make money! Even with Economy set to Variable! Why did Amtrak Hate this Loco?

Its about the time it takes to load/unload the train and thus making even more money.
Faster (un)loading means more money...
Give it a try, use one of those many savegames you have posted and try one with the short ones and one with longer ones...
