Yep that my intentions and also have some with trucks and when I do a older set see if I can put a few wagons and horses as well.

Auz Industry Objects Add Ons


Have any one started using the lego style Secondary Industry pieces?

Up set you a little as I separated the ones with the sky lights so that I could add office sections to them.

Change-Log:
* added office pieces to the previous pieces I did with and without the sky lights.
* Now have to sets of cargo bay sections.
* The set with awnings will also find some blank (ground tiles) with the awning facing the northern directions.
* Those with out awnings did a separate lot some have cargos just in side the doors.
* Made old style buildings that appear to have corrugated iron for the walls with and without office.
* Made brick wall buildings with and without office as well.

Yet to do:
* Cargo Bays for the older style buildings .. like to make these with the old swing doors.
* Cargo Bays for the brick buildings intend to make the ground tiles be dirt or gravel.
* Do sets of Cargo Bays with trucks and wagons.
* Do car parking for employees and customers.
* Make some old style 1x1 size buildings like in image several posts back showing buildings from my railway object set.

Here the update game file with a ID changes for the buildings with sky lights. I promise I not change any more IDs in future updates.

Been thinking bout logging industries recently.... any chance we could get some tractors and log piles on a grass tile's?

I presume you mean just on natural ground tiles depending what climate your playing?

EDIT:

I made a logging and placed the in AuzIndObjects .. find them in Utilities (for now till think a better place to put them).
They go direct on the ground to what ever Climate your playing.

You will find 8 random items in each of the 4 selections.
Have the yellow Logging Tractors, Logging Cranes, the last two are log piles.

There room for 20 more object sets in the AuzIndObjects so wonder what other cargo objects can be added similar to the logging ones.
The vehicles and logs I got from various sets and credit goes to CHIPS, ISR, FIRS, and Logging Camp.

Made a few more modern lego buildings with taller roof.
There is 8 random pieces some can be seen in this image. The cargo sheds random with and without those long windows.
The office sections have different window types. Some are shown in image and the other type same as previous buildings.

When build a complex industry with several business .. problem is they are all white. I did a tour of a industrial area using google earth. Almost all buildings have white roof. But some have a bit of colour to the sides. Need to put thinking cap on next few days see what I can do about adding some colour.

Making some changes to the cargo doors.

Removing the wars and leaving the doors on their own. This will allow you to use the any door design on any building something like this image.

When finished these changes will also have 4 types of paving.

Also looking at making a few new colours for the buildings and as can be seen the cargo doors can also be used with the new colours.

re - Making some changes to the cargo doors.
Lots viewed my idea and no complaints so I go ahead and make the changes.

The rear cargo door awnings (The ones that go on the northern side) of the buildings I be able to combine these so that all 4 paving designs can be with the one set.

It might interfere with those who are already using the add-on set, but hope only with the awnings.

Auz Industry Objects Add Ons

One BIG problem when I upload these as I making things .. is I been finding ways to improve things afterwards.

I found away to improve the Cargo Bays which has resulted in change of some IDs which in turn will have a problem in your game where you have used previous cargo bays.
The changes has allowed the cargo bays to be displayed in the Object Selection Menu in a easy to find order.
Listed as:
Paving (4 types)
Awnings with Roller Doors
Awnings with Swing and Sliding Doors
Awnings for the northern side of the buildings
Roller Doors (no awnings)
Swing and Sliding Doors no awnings
Small Office building

There are 2 new sets of buildings (but have no done the overlap pieces yet so you can make L shape buildings with these).
These building also displaying different paving and the small office buildings.

Auz Industry Objects


During the weekend I putting together some factory objects that I taken from my Industrial Sets. Credits for many of the buildings come from BornAcorn, prissi and FIRS.
Some factories in these are:
Cereal Factory, Brewery, Post Office, Hospitals, Textile Factory, Weaver Mill, and many more. So far there are 12 sets and each set has 4 factories. These I hope to add to the AuzIndustrialObjects.

Also looking at add-ons for the lego buildings in Auz Industrial Ovjects Add Ons.
This image shows the Liquid and Grain tanks and silos. These been taken from various sets belonging to other coders such as CHIPS, ISR, FIRS, BornAcorn and prissi.

I hope do some chimneys as well so you can place these behind the buildings. So fare I have 6 different types.

Early in the year "Aegir" helped me make some Modified Landscape Objects. It allowed the placing of objects randomly at start of game.

We made one that randomly placed Australian Trees on the map called "AuzLandscapeObjectsreMOD"
another that placed random clouds called "AuzCloudySky".
I made a set to randomly place old houses called "Auz Random Country Houses"

Today I decided to combine them in to just one file and I also added kangaroos and emus.

You can see some kangaroos and emus in the image.

If your interested in having your game start at the beginning with Australian Trees, Kangaroos, Emus, old house and clouds on your map then this might interest you.
It can not be added to games you have recently saved.

I keep getting strange ideas.

Wondering how buildings such as the secondary industry I making would look on a slope.

The building that is on the slope has its own foundation to match rest of building.

Thanks .. looking at doing other types of buildings to go on slopes as well. Shops and house would go good but they only be objects.

Been adding a few more objects to this set so thought it time let you have a go as some players might find a problem that I missed.

Update:
* Added Red and Green Awnings
* Added some buildings that build on slopes like in these 2 images.
* Added paving for flat and slopes.
* Added Liquid Tanks and Grain Silos like in these 2 images.

What Next?:
* Still to add offices and buildings for the farm machinery
* Hope also eventually add truck and bus sale yards.
* Hope to still add trucks and wagons to the cargo Doors.
* Like to add some chimneys to place behind the buildings like I done to the liquid tanks and grain silos.
* Employees car parking
* Like to add fences but not sure how I will do that yet.
Maybe they be part of the employees and customer parking and maybe some landscaping.
There is 4 types of paving so will do 4 types of car parks and fences.

Anyway .. here the new game file so you can start using.

Place 1 or 2 on a single tile .. with a dirt path leading from them to the edge of tile.
Probably could place them at quarries, sand mines and clay pits. Not sure where else they could be used.
I made a construction yard for my industry sets some time ago. My idea for it to supply building supplies Such as Timber, Cement and metal.
Maybe I could put a few porta loos in there for hire as well.

I still need to look at the portable offices too. Main delay is figuring out how would you use them in game?

Today I looking at idea how to use fences for the industries.

I'm thinking of construction sites, mines or even festivals alongside your parks objects.

Great idea. The toilets and offices can go with mines, construction or work yards as well
