Slower timelapse?

Post by NitroX infinity »

Is it possible to slow down time in OTTD?

I'm not talking about having everything move at half speed,
I'm talking about having the months last as long as the years do now or having the days last as long as the months do now.

Would be nice if you could make a selection between those and the standard timelapse.

I just think time goes by too fast.

No in standard OpenTTD, yes with a patch (called day length patch) which may be a bit outdated:

I recently got a patched version of the game that allowed you to reduce time via a setting in the "Accounting" options.

I really enjoy being able to control time (surprise surprise).

Sadly, it's an old version of the game and lacks some of the more modern features.

Try the JGR Patch Pack, which introduces the variable Day Length setting. It keeps up-to-date with current OpenTTD releases.
