Thnxss for mentioning that, but yeah I do have te edit my trackst.dat. If you look at this forum: http://www.tt-forums.net/viewtopic.php?f=37&t=49943, you can see that my trackst.dat is heavily edited. I use all kind of stations, bridges and other stuff in my trackst.dat that even one mistake can mess up my entire game. Most of my bridges are using their original names, but look like other bridges because I used the original name for a downloaded bridge.

That's why I must carefully choose wich bridge I leave out of my game and wich one not...but maybe I just keep it the way it is. I don't wan't to change my game and run in to the risk by screwing it up just for one saved game from some-one else...

But thnxsss for the help...preciate that  !

Strange, since I have most of the US stuff from amitrains. Haven't been updating in a while, because a lot of my vehicles are edited for the use of mods and other cargo's. But the names remain the same...From what pack are those vehicles, they won't show up in IA's Dat-Crawler. I have found the bridge in there...it's gonna take some editing (again) since all of my bridges are fitting together...I can even choose bridges with all of my tracks selected. I don't like that steel bridge much because it has no edges or railings...

Thnxsss !
@EDS, I made the steel bridge and is listed in my sig and does not need to be in the tractst.dat. I never used it. It just needs to be in the objdata folder unless you plan on using it. It was made to represent the Chicago EL platforms, sort of, and there are no side to it so that's why it looks like it does.

The dk*.dats are from the Dekosoft packs. The others are LJS srtuff. Sorry, I guess I should have mentioned where these came from in the first post. I assumed everyone knew.

EDIT: I just noticed that your list has a couple dats starting with US. You must not be up to date then because the USATJET.dat is an Amtrak engine.

I started playing Locomotion again and redid this map. Here is the saved game of my newest layout. This time I made it a 6 track system, 4 for freight and 2 for passenger. I added most of Plastikman's steamers and all rolling stock up to the 1940's thru the scenerio editor so I didn't have to do it using LocoMod. After that, you will have to add what ya want from there.

It's saved at January 1, 1924. I extended all of the trains to full size to fit the stations even tho it was too early for some but in 2 years, more powerful engines become available. Other than that, all the trains run great with minimal backups. Once it gets into the later years and the industries start producing more, you can add more trains and there shouldn't be many traffic jams. That's the reason for the 6 track system. I also put some subways in a few of the towns. You can do build them in the rest of the towns if you feel like it.

I also made a spare track near the Oldway Iron Ore mine so I could build the trains 40 tiles long and check them before I try to add them to the stations. Using it will save time from knowing how long to make them. I hope it helps you all as well. I was gonna take it out but left it for you all to use. It helps.

The stock I used are from Plastikmans US Mega pack, LTD3 Union Pacific Super Power, LPS Pack, London and Port Stanley Pack, Feather River Canyon pack, a few passenger cars and the cabooses from his contest. The cabooses are here; http://www.tt-forums.net/viewtopic.php?p=872747#p872747

I also used Zimmlocks new coalmine and station which is here; http://www.tt-forums.net/viewtopic.php?f=40&t=48136

I included the bridges of mine that I used in the game so you don't have to look for them. The are all in the .rar file. I also included my trackst.dat so you don't have to edit yours for the people that aren't good at editing it. I changed the track speed in mine to 1000 so the fast trains don't slow down on the medium curve and others.

And here is a screen shot of it zoomed all the way out.

I think you'll like it...

I made a giant screen shot of this made up of 78 separate screen shots and posted the link to it in the screenshot thread - http://www.tt-forums.net/viewtopic.php? ... 4#p1080654

EDIT: I knew I was forgetting something. I changed the speed of my wooden bridge from 15 to 200 and made it invisible because I only used it for the grass slope and where they are close to the edge and shows a safety rail. I did that because I don't like the safety rail to show. So if you use a different wooden bridge than the one I posted here, your trains will slow to the speed of the wooden bridge you use and show the safety rail.

I also forgot to put the flyover bridge back in the list of dats. I removed it from the list because I use an edited version of it and the external name is different and I forgot to put back the original name for it. So you'll need it as well. Sorry about that...

EDIT2: I was just told about the file named GF53SP01.dat. That's an LJS file and the person doing them is doing them different than everyone else and they can't be opened with locotool or the wrapper or locotool frontend so I changed all of mine to normal and I was just told that my saved game won't work without the new files I created so if you have the same problem, you should be able to just loco_mod it out because it isn't available until 1941 and wasn't used yet. If that doesn't work for ya'll, let me know and I'll change out the saved game...

The last 2 are Ore_Jennys. I think they came from the mega pack update. I'm pretty sure they were on Plastikman's update page. Is his page even up yet? I haven't checked in a while. Nope, just checked and it's still down. I'd post them for ya but they're not mine so I can't. I only used one of them on one train, my signal train, and can remove the train and loco_mod them out for ya if needed since his update page is down right now. I had to remove a few others from the donation pack because not everyone has them.

I really didn't like the other saved game I posted and have been wanting to redo it but took a year long break from Lomo and other stuff. When I started back up, I was determined to create a better layout. This is my favorite map because there are so many possibilities for it. There are so many places to build train yards but I didn't do any because I was getting the Too many objects in the game error on my last game and hope that this one doesn't get it too. I built a lot of roads in my last one and was thinking it was because of that so I let the towns build themselves this time.

Hello from 2022! The year of all that nasty business with the virus and all that. I pray you are doing well Tattoo!

Just wanted to inform you that at least of this year I was, with a lot of finding and searching, able to get this to work again and it's a beautiful map. Mercifully for now, a lot of the .dats are still out there!

Good luck to any and all of you who have found this gem of a website and are hoping to view the great works of all who contributed to it.
