Cant join multiplayer

I can not even download 2mb because the download speed is too slow, my net can get good with this as it is 6mb/s, but when trying to start a map in Multiplayer the game freezes, pops the "The last X seconds..." and then says Network-Connection error. I dont know what can cause this, or if it is normal to happen to not be able to download even 2 megabites in 30 seconds.
