Thanks for an update ;)

I wanted to use them in my SOTM, but I needed different ground and with this, it didn't look well. Is it possible to have 2 more variants for future plans? CHIPS concrete ground and your light version from Auz Container Cranes?

Isn't it a bumma when we plan our days and it don't work out.

Yesterday meant to do some outside work and got washed out. Today was shopping day and medical appointments, but doctor got called away to an emergency so never got to see him. So I got home early and managed to add some more containers.

Done .. manage to do them today as got home early.
Have choice of ground tiles to suit your game.

Subject: Yard Cranes for containers

Experimenting with Yard Cranes for containers.
The one I experimenting with can have the rows of containers as long at you like with 8 containers wide.

This is a Quay Crane designed to load containers on and off ships, but has a problem with the overlap over the ship. Overlaps in this direction always a problem and this no Exception. The ship hides the crane as can be seen with the 4th crane.

I might need make them higher to match the yard cranes as they are 44 pixels high compared to this Quay crane as it only 36 high. Extra height might fix the overlap with ships problem.

The containers are a wee bit large compared to the ships. The containers are same size as I have in my Auz Train sets so like to try keep using this size.

These cranes I will also need to change them and place them on wharves and make some tiles with railway tracks.

Taking longer to do then I thought and can not give you a answer when they be ready.

I think it would make the newer style ports POP in comparison to older ISR style ones. Think that would look quite good.

Been looking at images of Port Botany in Sydney Australia for ideas.

The images on internet of Port Botany have containers tacked 8 wide and a road for trucks with containers on to drive along between the tiles and the crane. Basically 9 tiles wide. The game tiles only fit 4 containers wide. With 2 tiles joined it only allows me room for 8 tiles wide total. Fitting 8 containers wide, the crane legs and the road for the trucks on 2 tiles near impossible.

See some other container port where the trucks with containers load/unload at the end of the container rows like in this image.

So this probable be the design I will work to.

Something I would like to do, but seems impossible is to have actual road between the 2 cranes. But the tile already being used by cranes and crane tracks. The gantry section of these cranes overlap over top of the containers. So might just have a fake road with fake trucks and container Lifting Equipment on these.

Time for some beauty sleep and I work on them some more tomorrow.

I think I finally worked out a way to use the Yard Cranes.

Work still to do:
* Change the containers that are on concrete by adding the marking as mentioned by "wyndbain".
The other 2 container sets that are on stone and asphalt leave them unchanged.
* Re-do the Quay Cranes so they have wharf edges when placed on the slope. Only have them in the facing (south-West and South-West) direction .. will try and make a set so they also face other directions.
* Make some ground tiles with markings and have some with random vehicles.

It hard to plan our objects that come in pieces as some people use them different to how we planned :oops:

In your image Nový projekt (2) I think the way you placed the corner and the ramp piece maybe replace the pink with a dark grey to make it look as if the ramp is going into a tunnel.

Shall see what I can do with them tomorrow.

Anyway I tried to use other pieces, and every item has pink wall, so it's not possible to cover it.

I could change the pink to actual building ends, but the image of yours I mentioned with the curve and ramp, the ramp will look as if it crashing into the building.

Need some experimenting again ..

Wonder what version of AuzCarParksAndSubwayOverlays your using. The version I have hear dates December 2021 does not have any pink.

See if these any better. The unfortunate part if the curve and ramp you show in yours as where the pink is it is a wall of a building.

I think what I really need to do is upload all the object sets again and include a version number and date altered.

I'm getting lost with my projects .. forgetting where I put things and projects that I done and those not finished. :roll: :?

I'll copy the ones from the Car Parks to the Town Add Ons so both the same.

I've seen a few posts where players have used them different ways .. making buildings in lego block format give players a variety of ways to use them and often like you have done, used them how I never thought they be used. :oops:

Let you all have try and see if I could add any more.
What you will find.
* There are containers on stone and bitumen with out the line markings these more suitable for container terminals that are not connected to a port.
* Containers on concrete with and without line markings.
* Quay Cranes (for loading and unloading containers from ships) .. did both concrete and bitumen base.
* Wharf tiles to go with the Quay Cranes There are bitumen and concrete types with and without crane tracks. These are slope aware so can be used any where on the coast.
* Yard Cranes on concrete. (Did not do any on bitumen as think they might not be needed)
* Yard Crane tracks
* Yard Roads

Sooo good and tasty. But. Can I ask for concrete tiles that are already in use in other sets as base? This way you can't mix those :(
I rearly use other concrete tiles than CHIPS, FIRS.
