Or what about this simple style?

Will you make the top one as an overlay, with the bottom one as the default, so we can make custom depots?

Hi friends ;)

It may seem like I'm not working on anything, but sometimes I do something in my free time. I'm currently working on bus stations, I was inspired by visiting Sri Lanka, where there are short buses and terminals for them. I plan to make three types in 3-4 color variants. I have unfinished hospitals and blocks of flats. Before summer I w'd like to release the 6th version, most of the buildings will also be included in the building set.

It's funny, but thanks to the bus stations, I started coding and drawing. GarryG asked me if I could test his graphics, because I came up with the idea of overlapping bus stations :D I'm back two years later.

Maybe a stupid question - but how can I get this amazing graphics become visible in my game? I installed v5 directly from the online repository and added it to my newgrf configuration, I am now in the "future" when it comes to the year of my gameplay but still cannot see any of these beautiful constructions in any of the cities on the map. What am I doing wrong - maybe there is some hidden conflict between this newgrf and others that I also applied?

OK! I am a complete noob :P. After searching for some tips regarding my question from above it turned out that all the objects graphics become available in Landscaping toolbar under Objects section. Out of sudden I have found not only yours masterpieces but also other items that I installed while adding other recommended newgrfs :D but has never been able to see them actually working ;). I can see now, that there is a multitude of options and items related to each of the objects packs. I will have to spend many hours on finding out how all things work. I would be glad if someone could give me some hints, tips or recommendations how to start and organize the way of building nice layouts

Funny you didn't know about objects' Chamber of Secrets, This is my the most favourite part of creativity :)

My advice - find some screenshots and try to make them in your game ;)

3 days ago I had an idea - to have "curved" tunnels under water. So I've just created fake overlapping water objects which can be used with under-water-tunnels in JGR's version 🙂 Sometimes I need to turn the road and I have to build islands. This might solve it.

Not a bad idea .. probably have a small island out in the water with a lighthouse and a house for the light keeper. Also ideal for curved tunnel on land as well.

Cheers

Very useful for the tunnels!!

For the waterairport you dont have to landscape that much.
Just pause the game.
Demolish the actual water, so you have enough space to place the waterairport AND can place objecttiles (with watergraphics) around the waterairport where actual water could touch the waterairport.
The objecttiles already work as a "dam"

Very usefull though for example in multiplayer games where you cannot pause the game.

Looks like it could have some interesting uses for sure.
I do use the chunnels from JGRPP often, so being able to curve them more naturally is welcome :)

Frida You would do some urban greenery, I miss it a lot, and what is available is too little. I would very much like you to make some medium-height green, because there are a lot of trees and short grass.
I mean various types of bushes or even brushwood, if you want to send some photos

I'll second this. We could benefit from a more current and open project than INFRA Streets and INFRA Green. They're great, but the latest version isn't on Bananas, and it's also incomplete, and SAC is effectively gone from the scene, tied up with more pressing issues in real life.

Maybe he could use some of these trees from the original graphics.

Ufiby also published some new trees as well which could be an option.

The big trees have always bothered me, so I simply overwrote the big ones with the small ones....

I hadn't know about that :D Now I know.
Good you've found another plus for it :))

I understand what you mean ... there's not enought eyecandy trees . I combine INFRA Parks (there are big trees, good for using between tall buildings), City Objects and some trees from Auz Sets.

I'm not good at drawing trees. So we can hope that one day some new things will come.

Hey,
I have just started exploring OpenTTD addons and your's something i've been looking for a long time. Beautifull buildings and objects perfectly blending with the original (or slightly modified) version of the game.

But here's my question: is it possible to implement those buildings so that cities could use them on their own as they grow?
Also: are those objects taking space for "normal" city buildings therefore hindering their growth? Or maybe they serwe as accomodation for new residents.
Building manually can be fun but i would love to see living world filled with your creations.

Fridaemon and I are working on a city set. Still very much a WIP. The entire set got rebooted recently to implement it in NML.
Currently working under the name 'reldred' on Github, and Discord.
NFO/NML coder, part-time patch writer for JGRPP, and all round belligerent.

Splendor!

I also thought of making houses that have garages on the ground floor. Would it be possible?

Have a nice day!
