Wild speculations please - New features in potential OTTD update?

Post by ebla71 »

Hi everybody,

With April 1st only a bit over two weeks down the road and this usually being a time of the year where interesting things happen and bring extra joy to OpenTTD players - even more than Xmas - I was wondering what is your best guess for new features to be included in a potential upcoming OTTD update?

Personally, I am very much hoping for more variability with the roadstops and potential "road waypoints" :P

Stay safe - ebla71

I like that idea of yours.

Some blank ones too with out the building each side the road so can design your own bus stops and loading bays in objects or non-track station tiles.

Cheers

Spoiler: There haven't been any betas or release candidates for a new major release, and one won't happen without those. If there is a release on April 1st at all, it'll only have some bug fixes.

I believe that with the move to GitHub and the availability of the game via Steam that the developers have decided to break with the tradition of releasing on/around April 1st in favor of doing more regular updates and major releases when they're warranted.

3D not always means better playability. Isometric view is much more fun in my opinion and much more CPU resources friendly. For strategies - 2D & isometric view is sufficient.
