Editing first post no longer possible?

Post by Erato »

In the development forum, the first post of a thread is (at least for me) a post to update every time there's a new update, to keep it up to date with the latest changes in my NewGRFs and whatnot.
But I'm no longer seeing an edit button. Why's that?
No pics no clicks. Seriously.

I may have missed out a change when upgrading the forums, I’ll need to look at it. Can check tomorrow. Sorry about that!

Generally it is good option if applied to new users (to avoid spammers putting neutral fake message and editing it later), but trusted users should be able to edit their posts.

Owen already stated that this change wasn't on purpose, so any discussion on its merits and disadvantages seems kind of pointless to me.

It doesn't matter if change was implemented accidentally, while I was not criticizing it, in contrary, pointing the fact that such feature may be useful.
By the way, your back-seat moderator attitude become slightly annoying.

In the short term, if you or any other users need to update the first post, feel free to send the updated info to me and I can make edits.

This should now be fixed. You may also have enjoyed a more or less ad-free experience for the past few days, whoops.
