Most of these are sooo good. Voting will be very difficult this time around for sure. Makes me wish I was as good at eyecandy.

Hello,
Some of you might have already seen this one from Reddit - but I thought I might drop it in here too as it is from an ongoing server game and I'm quite happy with it!
Here is Tottori, famous for sand dunes...a spectacular tower and port for lesuire cruises.

And here's mine, also on Tintinfan's server...
Tosashimizu, where the beach is bisected by the Shinkansen line as it plunges into the ocean to reach the neighbouring island. The crossover between the Shinkansen and coastal mainline was once considered for a transport interchange, but it was decided against as it would have made the high-speed stations too close together. Various passenger and freight trains share the mainline, and an older commuter train is visible on the branchline to Matsudo. The beach isn't too busy today but plenty of people are queueing at the ice cream stall and watching the boats pass by.

The lake to the west famous for Oysters and prawns (shrimp). To the east after a hard walk through the forest and sand dunes you reach the Pacific Ocean with Miles and Miles of Sandy beaches along the coast. I used to go camping near the lake before it be came so popular. At night we would light a camp fire near the lake shore and two of us would drag a net out into the lake and back to shore and unload the prawns straight into the boiling pot on the camp fire. Some times you also catch a blue swimmer crab. Only problem was I am allergic to prawns and crab even if real fresh.

The cobbled streets of both towns are ideal for walking on cloudy days, a very popular circuit is to start the day on the steep streets of Wrunwood, walk along the beach until you reach the historic streets of Nedingbury and finish the tour at the old lighthouse.

However, every year on the 31st of June, it is inundated with visitors for the annual air show that takes place on its seafront. People come from across the nation and spend the day on the beach watching aerobatic displays. Special Intercity train services are laid on to transport the thousands of spectators whilst Police close the local seafront road to vehicles to allow people to move about safely. This image captures some formation flying from the Russian Air Display Team.

On his way to China, aboard the Nina, Pinta and Santa Maria, he and his crew stumbled upon an idealic Caribbean island where they dropped anchor in a cove surrounded by beautiful sandy beaches. Columbus suffered a stroke of genius. "We shall make a fortune" he said, and with that he invented the Tourist Industry. "We will build a magnificent luxurious hotel and casino and a spa and a mall of shops and a rum distillery, all to separate rich noblemen from their fortunes. We will call it a tourist resort". And with that he erected a sign on the beach that said "Future Site of CHRIS COLUMBUS' BEACH RESORT!"
MEANWHILE #1: Upon hearing of this brilliant idea, Queen Isabella recalled her 1,000 ship Spanish Armada to port to be refitted to luxury class cruise ships capable of transporting 2,000 tourists each.
MEANWHILE #2: Blackbeard and his nefarious crew of pirates dropped anchor in a bay on the far side of the island, out of sight of Columbus and his crew, and began to scheme for a tourist trap named Blackbeard's Surf Shop wherin to sell cheap trinkets and souvenirs at ridiculously exorbitant prices.
MEANWHILE #3: Vulcan the volcano was rumbling with thoughts of converting the white sands of the beach to the black beach sands similar to those produced by his cousins in New Zealand ...
The rest is history ...

Please interrupt me for breaking the creative flow, though many of us would love to play a scenario like these. If anyone is willing to post saves or scenarios after a monthly win, for instance, we would be most grateful to have an opportunity to play.
Re: Screenshot Of The Month Competition - September 2020
Good point, but this could clutter what is a contest topic with off-topic discussions. Perhaps the contestants could post a link to where the scenario or game is available, but please do so after the voting is closed. This is a screenshot contest, not a game or scenario contest.kyfami wrote: 11 Oct 2020 21:19 Please interrupt me for breaking the creative flow, though many of us would love to play a scenario like these. Re: Screenshot Of The Month Competition - October 2020
Congratulations Fridaemon!! And to everyone else for making those beautiful images! It was really tough to choose only 3 to vote!
I don't know if this is out of place here, but I have a question:
What NewGRF provides those thin docks with red sides and those marinas full of boats, that can be seen in the top-centre of Fredinho's image, next to the big lighthouse? I've seen them many times and I looked all over for the NewGRF but haven't been able to find it. Maybe I don't know the right words in English to look for it, or is it not available anymore?
Anyway, good job, everyone! Can't wait to see what you all come up with this month!
