The virus not killing the young, it when they get infected and take it home and infect their parents, grand parents, uncles and aunties .. it is these that are dying because of the younger ones.

They was going to try bring in a law that those who know they infected and still not stay isolated be treated the same if carrying a deadly weapon and be arrested and charged as such.

The media and Democrats say little other than reflecting upon the need to defund or abolish the police and virtually nothing is said about the hooligans who loot, burn and destroy property both public and private.
Then Trump hosts a rally all quite peaceful and proper, save for the notable absence of distancing and masks, and the media and Democrats suddenly take notice.
New York is #1 in the nation with hospitalizations and deaths. The absence of media and Democrat commentary is notable.
Texas has a marked increase in positive infections while hospitalizations and deaths remain at levels near the bottom of the list. The media and Democrats suddenly take notice.
Here's what everybody failed to notice ... Texas greatly expanded its testing to include more "healthy" citizens. What they identified was the number of asymptomatic people who tested positive.

Respectfully, can we not get into politics here? My perception of American events and media coverage has been quite different than yours, but there’s no need to point fingers and bring vitriol into a hobby community which, at least for me, has become a rare happy refuge from a turbulent world.

Looks like one particular city in the UK is being problematic, so they may be put on a 'local' city wide lockdown rather than county or country wide.

As an Australian in his 20s, I've started wearing a mask to the shops now and I'm nearly always the only one wearing one at all

Wearing mask in Philippines is compulsory. If no mask not allowed to enter any shops, not allowed to use public transport. If caught walking the streets near other people without mask get fined and possibly jail.

One foreigner who refused to wear his mask in Manila made to return to his country and not allowed to return to Philippines.

Sweden have so far refused to mandate mask wearing for two reasons:

1. It's efficiency is debatable regarding covid-19 (although less so recently), and we've so far only acted on definitive proof rather than guesswork
2. Mandating mask use can act as a false sense of safety, and if used wrong could even help spread the virus. People wearing the same masks instead of replacing when they get moist, people not as likely to obey distancing guidelines, etc.

With the spread slowing in Sweden, at a pace comparable to other European countries, I don't see us mandating masks. I've only worn it once, when I had to drive my grandmother. She's over 80 and in a slightly fragile state of health, so I'd rather not risk anything.

I been told if you think you picked up a virus or malware best to run your software that checks for them before you shut down as it will normally don't take effect until you restart your computer.. At least that what I been told.

Wearing face masks is still mandatory here (Germany), as well.

To be honest, I'm constantly worried the young people around me might pose a possible threat as I'm rather sensitive regarding infections. But Covid-19 numbers are low so I'm not overly concerned.

Also I've got trained in the medical field so am in charge of my family's health as well.

Meanwhile in the US, you have people trying to make up fake illnesses in order to claim an exemption from having to wear a mask. Businesses are not having it, though. They don't want to be shut down. They're forcing customers to either wear a mask or use curbside pickup or online ordering. This has resulted in angering some customers, resulting in them assaulting store staff. Some stores have now started to employ professional security guards who can take a punch and deal with rowdy customers before the police arrive.

Honestly it's mostly because the US is the only place I'm aware of where sweeping federal government mandates are supposed to be illegal outside of amendments or Supreme Court rulings.

A lot of people blaming the Governments for the virus spreading, but they done what they think should be done. It the fault of the people for not obeying what Governments suggested.

Recently in Australia the police door knocked houses where people suppose to be at home under quarantine and over 130 people was not at home .. they was out spreading the disease to other people.

Unless those people who got the virus stay home and quarantine we will have this virus problem for a very long time, maybe even years.

In Philippines where I am at moment, people are selling fake negative reports to people .. so those who have the virus can get these fake reports for 25 pesos to say they don't have the virus.
