Version 1.9.* on Ubuntu 19.04 Disco install problems

Hi everybody,

I'm trying to install the latest OpenTTD Version 1.9.1 on the latest ubuntu Release (19.04).

The *.deb Version of the game doesn't install because of unstisfied dependencies. This is the Output i get (sorry for the german):

Die folgenden Pakete haben unerfüllte Abhängigkeiten:
 openttd : Hängt ab von: libicu60 (>= 60.1-1~) ist aber nicht installierbar
           Hängt ab von: libiculx60 (>= 60.1-1~) ist aber nicht installierbar
           Empfiehlt: openttd-opengfx soll aber nicht installiert werden
E: Probleme können nicht korrigiert werden, Sie haben zurückgehaltene defekte Pakete.

With Ubuntu 19.04 i can't install the old libicu60 library. I installed libicu63, libicu64 and libicu-dev but that did nothing.

I hope somebody has experience with that kind of problem.

Ps.: Is there a reason, why OpenTTD on Ubuntu is only available in Version 1.8.0?

Our builds are for Ubuntu 16.04 or 18.04. You will need to compile OpenTTD yourself to install on 19.04.

Ps.: Is there a reason, why OpenTTD on Ubuntu is only available in Version 1.8.0?

Ubuntu packages are controlled by Ubuntu, not OpenTTD. However, it is most likely that Ubuntu 19.04 was already frozen by the time OpenTTD 1.9.x was released.

Our builds are for Ubuntu 16.04 or 18.04. You will need to compile OpenTTD yourself to install on 19.04.

we've had that problem pretty much every year, that ubuntu 1x.04 doesn't contain openttd 1.x

Will Ubuntu 19.04 be supported soon?

I have no idea how this works, but it is possible to set up a PPA for OpenTTD? I see there are some PPA's already, but they're not up to date: https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+ppas?name ... nactive=on

I've got tired of dancing around the official builds and built DEB-package of OpenTTD 1.9.3 for Ubuntu Disco 19.04.
