Simply it means there isn't more house to house or shop to shop,
and there is only house to shop/office or office to office(mail).
It will be realistic i think.

Hello and welcome!
Indeed a great way to introduce yourself!

A couple of tips though...

- Try to keep the shading in mind of the sides of some buildings, in some cases it's the wrong way around:
Example416.png
Example416.png (67.54 KiB) Viewed 17688 times
- Same with some roofs:
Example417.png
Example417.png (47.21 KiB) Viewed 17688 times
I think that in some cases you simply flipped the building, but didnt adjust the shading ;-)

- Finally, they could use some texture... A lot of the buildings have the same color for their walls. Adding texture will make them look even nicer than now ;-)
There is a rather easy way, thought of by Luxtram, by using a noise layer in GIMP:

Here a short description of how I used it with Photoshop:

That honestly sounds pretty cool if you can make it work.

I can't imagine the specifics though. Do houses only produce passengers, without accepting them?

First post is a building set? Congratulations! I am in awe of your skill. Not the best work I've seen, but considering you did it before posting here, it is the best first project I've ever seen!

As was stated, adjust the colors and add shading, it's kind of bland compared to other sets.

Still amazing to see your work!

Yes, they can't accept anything even it's mail or food. I want house accept the tired passenger like YETI, but it is to hard for me.

Hello jakga123,

These are interesting buildings. More buildings is always welcome and this is nice coherent set. Well done! :)

I would like to extend Quast65 comment.

These buildings work nicely as a single building set. But if you combine them with others sets (and people always do that) then these buildings look minuscule (tiny) because of the different floor height (ours 3-4, more commonly 6-7, my personal preference is 7). So yours can be approximately twice as big as now.

It can be also problem when you put vehicles on into your game. Then vehicles can look too big.

If you make your buildings bigger then you can also add more detail and make them richer.

I hope that I was able to convince you. Let me know if you need more convincing. :)

Very nice set. However, you should make more rural buildings, the only buildings seen here are urban

I presume the topmost image in the OP is an old city. It really needs some more variety. Have the city centre be like Bukchon Hanok Village; more densely packed buildings.
See JapanSet buildings for inspiration.

Hello everyone,

I am not sure if this mod is still being worked on :P however I've noticed that it has some issue with the mailing for me.
Like not all of the houses supply mail like with the original houses instead only the huge skyscrapers do and on top of that mail is still not produced.
I haven't tested it but I can assume it might have some conflict with the Simpleton's City builder script that I am using does anyone have a clue how can it be fixed without screwing up my save :D?

Currently Korean Style Buildings v0.2.1 is used on the dedicated server.
Check out the screenshot for more info.

Thanks!

In the image you can see that only Stump Ridge Central is supplying mail Due to the white blue buildings(however it does not accept mail?) currently the airport is set to make deliveries of mail with another city which accepts mail however there is no mail bags being produced in the airport...

Hi, i see you are going to connecting mail truck house to house, :( sorry about that because house doesn't accept mail, but only office block can send and receive mail. office block generate only city has high population(10000), so you should make city bigger. you need least one huge city, because city hall accept mail (but not sending it).

Hey, thank you for getting back to me. I see what you mean by that. However the City builder GS requires mail in order to grow the city beyond 500 ;/ I've also noticed that with the korean GRF the cities tend to start really small like 100-800. And like I said in one of the cities I have an office building I assume which says that it supplies mail however it doesn't appear in the airport when I am trying to transport it to my main town which I have claimed via the script. For some reason that town is the only town that actually produces mail.

Is it possible to show me how does an office block look like ? is it the same as the office buildings i showed in the screenshot ?

Thanks!

I've made a little experiment and moved my HQ from my main Town to a city which has office buildings that should produce mail ... the mail production only started when i moved my HQ in that city... So I assume there is definitely a conflict between the GRF and the GS ;/

Nice set. I definitely enjoy having this in my games.

A couple questions:
  • Is this open source?
  • If so, where may we see the code and under what license are you sharing this?
