Are nightly builds ever released anymore?
The latest nightly build version available on the official page is r28004, updated on April 6th 2018. That's almost 4 months ago. It used to be updated with every new change (almost daily) but then the whole project was migrated to GitHub and I lost track of the nightly version afterwards.
Where can I get the latest up-to-date nightly version, if it's sill being produced?
UPDATE: They are back!

Re: Are nightly building ever released anymore?
the compile environment is currently undergoing reconstruction, in the followup of the move to github
Re: Are nightly building ever released anymore?
Thanks. I see.
Any estimated date when the whole thing will be running as usual again?

ETA announcements tend to be avoided. There are simply too many real life variables that encroach into the lifelines of volunteers and ETAs are extremely unreliable at best. A good guess would be anytime after whenever.

For the lack of automated nightly builds, here are some current manual nighttime builds for Windows.

Thanks for the builds!
I could upload builds from time to time after a few relevant commits made to the project, until the automatic builds work again (assuming they will ever do). I suppose it's just downloading the project from GitHub and compiling it?

I believe good progress has been made with the nightly builds over the past couple of weeks - they should be working again before long!absay wrote:(assuming they will ever do).

Github issue for new infra: https://github.com/OpenTTD/OpenTTD/issues/6916
That issue also links to the repo where the actual infra lives. The repo shows progress in more detail, i.e. the actual commits.

Great to hear the builds are coming back, but from the link andythenorth posted:
Does this mean builds for Windows or Linux have been discarded?TrueBrain commented 7 days ago
Reminder: we decided to only produce 64bit OSX binaries. See #6978 for more detail.

Only if the date is April 1absay wrote:Does this mean builds for Windows or Linux have been discarded?
I can see where the confusion arises, but Windows and Linux builds will be produced.

Re: Are nightly builds ever released anymore?
There just won't be any more 32-bit Mac OS X builds. If you happen to have an ancient Mac that can't run a 64-bit OS, though, then you should still be able to (at least attempt to) build it yourself.
Re: Are nightly builds ever released anymore?
Thanks for the clarification guys! I feel really dumb now lol
Re: Are nightly builds ever released anymore?
so what's worse? feeling dumb because you learned something, or being dumb and unaware of it?
