Right-click on window (no matter where) closes the window.

As an option of course...

What do you say? I hate closing the many windows with the X. And often the Del-Button is not what you want, especially on a notebook. It should be not too difficult to add and as an option it would not disturb anybody.

It's not in 1.7.1 as far as I can tell, but it is in nightly builds, in Settings -> Interface -> General
