Had trouble coding the centre wagons for the Articulated Container Wagons, so I separated them into 3 centre wagons to choose from.

This will help give a good variety of containers.

There are refittable with a large choice of cargos which are: GOOD, PAPR, FOOD, MEAT, RUBR, FRUT, FRVG, WATR, TOYS, BATT, SWET, COLA, BUBL, PLST, FZDR, BEER, BDMT, BRCK, CERA, ENSP, FERT, FISH, FMSP, GLAS, JAVA, MNSP, PLAS, RCYC, RFPR, MAIL, STEL, VALU, GOLD, SGBT, WDPR, FICR, WOOL, URAN .. if you think I missed some that could be included or some I should remove please let me know.

The 3 trains here .. Top has centre 1 Wagons, Middle is Centre 2 and Bottom is Centre 3. The white containers in top train is my go at making Refrigerated containers. (All 3 trains are empty with empty containers)

If you like to test version 25 of the train sets and give me your opinion be appreciated.

If you try these and put one of the other Container wagons in the consists. You will notice the difference especially if train is travelling north-south direction.

I know Chemicals is liquid but can also come in drums of various sizes.

If no one has any objections I intend to rename the NSWTrains to AuzTrainsNSW or AuzNSWTRains as majority of projects I've released all start with Auz, so I think look good is NSWTrains also started with Auz. Hope to make this change with next issue.

I've renamed NSWTrains to AuzTrainsNSW.

Here's a copy of the first issue .. but I kept the version no. as 25 in line with AuzTrains .. makes it easier for me when coding if both have same version.

When I get the time to start adding trains from other States, I will most likely separate them to their own sets like I don't for the NSW lot. Such as AuzTrainsQld, AuzTRainsVic, making all the locos, DMU's and EMUs for those States be the hardest. The rolling stock basically can use what I done, just renaming and recolour them, especially passenger coaches.

Changed the names of the new wagons to Articulated Container Wagons.

To make a train with these wagons purchase as follows:
Articulated Container Wagons-end (Purchase 1st) - Purchase this one first.
Articulated Container Wagons-Centre 1, 2, and/or 3 Purchase any 3 of these in any order. Can be 3 of the some or a mixture.
Articulated Container Wagons-end (Purchase Last) - Purchase this one last.

Then can add more sets purchasing each set in same order.

You can tell if have in correct order by the white wagon label at end of the End Sets. Centre wagons do not have this white label. (See pic above)

Been making new Containers for the Container Wagons. If any one is making a train set and want some containers here the template to what I done so far.

These are designed from containers I see on trains recently and have video clips of.

The green containers to the right was experimenting. I see on some container wagons they have 3 small containers or a small one and a larger one. Looking at idea if I can do same, but as can be seen by the 3 smaller containers, they when put together are 1 pixel to long, or if joined 1 pixel to short.

I have changed the name of the NSWTrains to AuzTrainsNSW.

Changed the name so all my Auz projects can be together.

I'm working on the container wagons and graphics and as soon as I finish them ... should be in a few days .. will release this on Bananas.

Finished changing the graphics to ALL container wagons except the ones in Open Wagons .. will leave them as they are.
The 5 trains in this pic are all empty Container Wagons.
1. Top is Articulated Container Wagons.
2. Refrigerated Containers
3. Goods
4. Liquids Cargos such as Chemicals, Fuel and Milk
5. Cargo such as Wool, Cotton, Supplies.

Here's the updates to the train sets.

Will put these on Bananas too.

EDIT: I just notice a error in the coding for one of the container wagons .. I will need to fix .. worse part is already put AuzTrains on Bananas .. so that too will need updating.

Try fix this error as soon as I can.

EDIT EDIT: Fixed .. AuzTrains versions 26 and AuzTrains Version 27 now on Bananas. (I making so many silly mistakes today I think it time for me to give up coding for a while).

I not having much luck with making these container wagons.

Not having much luck with coding .. forgetting simple things.

First in coding for one of the Container Wagons had MILK twice .. coding just gave me a warning but still coded all .. took a while before I noticed the warning .. too late I released the train sets on Bananas.

So I fixed that warning message and again released on Bananas .. and again make boo boo .. instead of releasing AuzTrainsNSW I accidently release NSWTrains.

I then release AuzTrainsNSW Version 27 as correct NewGRF file and last post I accidently shown
Fixed .. AuzTrains versions 26 and AuzTrains Version 27 now on Bananas.
And notice that is how they listed in game too .. they should be AuzTrains and AuzTrainsNSW. So again I made a mistake in coding the lang file.

What a bumma of a day.

Anyway here the correct version .. I hope .. it should show as AuzTrainsNSW Version 28.

Sorry for these stuff ups .. just one of those days.

Much thanks to Quast65 .. he's been teaching me some NFO coding so I can make some stations and platforms.

Only made to lots of platforms so far ..

One is suppose to be a Goods Wooden platform as used at Good Sheds.

The other is Country Platforms with gravel. Some have Water Tanks at end of platform.

Be a while before I put on Bananas as still more to add and still more to learn.

If like to test for me and let me know what you think be appreciated.

EDIT: 16/5/2017 .. there is a glitch with the country platforms
Some of the water tanks glitch when a train passes and use overhead wires.

The normal platforms (platform each side of the line) the back of the platforms out of alignment when make more side by side.

Now have the instructions and coding on how to fix those problems and hope to fix soon.

Going to change the Country Platform ramps and make a bit longer and the Water Tanks going to make them a stand alone so can use at end of any station.

Patched a few problems with the platforms .. hope I found them all.

Changed a few things .. On and off ramps for Country Stations made a bit longer to 1/2 tile length .. the idea of this if you have a loco hauled pass and send it to far end of platform .. the engine will not be on the platform like I seen in real many times.

The end platforms that had water tanks, the tanks are now stand alone. They are still station tiles so can place joining a station.

For the engine to take on water, one of the carriages overshoots the platform when using the on/off ramps.

All still in experimental and learning stage at moment.

Clerestory Regional (Mail & Express) coach wagon Has wrong sprites set for it and is using the Wooden 2-axle one.

Strange thing it was ok in earlier versions. I checked back through the versions of AuzTrains and version 19 it was ok, and some how in Version 20 it was changed. How the heck I did that I have no idea :shock: . But then I often do things I don't know how I did it :)

Because I busy with several projects I haven't sat down and actually played a game in a long long time except for testing what I just done.

Here's copy of updates to both AuzTrains and AuzTrainsNSW.

Before I put on Bananas I will have a play around with them for a few days and make sure all ok.

Made some Mixed Train sets for carrying Goods and a few other cargos.

Previously I had some made for Gen 3, 4 and 5 wagons .. now I have some for Gen1 and Gen2 as well.

Photos I have seen of trains in the age of steam .. never seen many unit trains of the same wagons and cargo except for Coal and some other minerals.

Most were mixture of wagons.

Mainly wanted this idea for GOODS cargo, but a few other cargos can also be used. All the wagons will carry the same cargo.

Here the files .. will test for a while before placing on Bananas.

Hello there GarryG,

I’m completely new to NewGRFs, and not all that experienced with OpenTTD myself, but I’d be more than willing to help you with completing this project. I can assist you with adding new engines to the library, as I have a large list of statistics which can assist with creating new assets. I can fill in your blanks with the NSWGR and help you expand into other states as well. It would be an honour to help you out with this process.

Like to try and have as many locos, carriages and wagons from each State.

At the moment because I don't have a lot from other States it is just on file. If I get enough from each State will separate these and make separate releases of each State.

Like to welcome ASide8.

He has offered to help with the train sets.

He has access to better information then what I have especially with the Steam.

All I was able to get before was approximate dates entered service and weight .. I had no information on speed and power and some other details he told me about.

Much of the information I put in codes for steam was guess work.

Hello world!

So happy to be helping out with AuzTrains. It’s a badge of honour for me, I’ve always wanted to work on a NewGRF and AuzTrains is a great stock set. So happy to smoothen out the rough edges with regards to accuracy, and I hope to contribute a few new assets too.
