Re: The Thread Of Randomness
I'm just letting you know that I am OK. A lone man today stole a truck and drove it down the main shopping street of Stockholm. There have been a few deaths. We'll recover.
My place of work is downtown. We decided to throw a spontaneous afterwork today. Life goes on. We're stronger together.

Re: The Thread Of Randomness
I have recently discovered Brie cheese at a local café. I now have it on every panini I order from there, 100% delish!
I hope this sentiment is shared amongst the Swedish population, don't let them get to you. I hope the event wasn't too close to your place of work, glad to know you're fine too!Chrill wrote:Life goes on. We're stronger together.

Re: The Thread Of Randomness
Very proud to be Swedish today.
Last night, the man responsible of the attacks was arrested. Last night, the hashtag #openstockholm was trending on Twitter in Sweden. People who needed rides, a place to sleep. People who could provide rides or places to sleep. People helped each other. The entire public transport network was shut down from about 3pm to 8pm yesterday. I have not heard one voice complaining.
A friend of mine arrived at Arlanda Airport about the same time the terrorist attacked Stockholm. She could obviously not find a taxi, nor take the train or bus. She made it home thanks to two other people who also needed to go. One of those two had a friend who picked them all up and drove them home.
These stories are flooding the Internet right now. The very first reaction was "Let's help", not "Let's run" or "Let's hide". I'm very very proud, and very happy, for that. Today is a day of love and care in Stockholm, not a day of fear and suspicion.

Sadly, it was right by my place of work. We locked the doors for about an hour after reports started coming through of gun shots at our local train station. These turned out to be false, but for a while there it seemed like this attack was coordinated rather than the work of one man.Redirect Left wrote:I hope this sentiment is shared amongst the Swedish population, don't let them get to you. Glad to hear you are Ok good sir!Chrill wrote:I'm just letting you know that I am OK.
This is the thing, if it was a terrorist attack (British Media appears to be pointing in that direction, Idk if the same is the case over there), it was obviously designed to make people afraid, and push them apart, however, in almost every single one of these attacks, it actually pulls people closer together! Just look at London the other week as another example.Chrill wrote:People helped each other.
Simple answer, because they're idiots.GarryG wrote:why do they harm innocent people.

Well, I got a new yacht, a million Euro from a Nigerian prince and a British passport out of it. Not too bad.
Re: The Thread Of Randomness
Well, I guess you did okay out of it all! Where's my cut of that anyway? I'll take the Yacht and half a million Euros, I don't need a British Passport, already got one of those!Pyoro wrote:Well, I got a new yacht, a million Euro from a Nigerian prince and a British passport out of it. Not too bad.
Re: The Thread Of Randomness
Hey guys. I'll use you as my go-to phone experts today.
At work, we have an iPhone that customers sometimes send multimedia messages (MMS) to. We want to automatically forward these to an email address. Is that doable?
* Person A sends an MMS to our iPhone.
* Either our iPhone, through an app or whatever, forwards the MMS to an email address of our choice or we intercept the MMS, through some sort of 3rd party software, and reroute it to the email address
Any ideas?

MMS, was that ever a thing? Can't those customers just e-mail it directly?
