Happy birthday, TT-Forums!
TT-Forums is now 14 years old! As a grumpy teenager, he's probably still in bed right now, but I'll wish him happy birthday anyway.
Here's hoping we're still here in another 14 years!
(What's more scary is that next year the forums will have been around for 50% of my life!)

Happy Birthday Forums! What do you buy a teenager for their 14th Birthday now? Is it an iPhone?
Just think, the year after the forums will have been around more than half your lifeorudge wrote:(What's more scary is that next year the forums will have been around for 50% of my life!)

I'm soon reaching that threshold myself, joining in 2004 at the age of 13. I'm turning 26 next year. Good times. I've grown up with you lot. Perhaps that's why I'm not quite alrightorudge wrote:(What's more scary is that next year the forums will have been around for 50% of my life!)

Good grief. I've been here 11 years, so more than 75% of the life of the forum
A great deal of you would never have known, or remember, TT-F life without me

Happy birthday
The forum should be 14 and 7 months old actually, I'm member of it since I founded one of the two forums that merged to become TT-Forums, that is 22 March 2002.
Owen's forum might be a little bit younger, and the forum that preceded all these is even older, but it disappeared before I recreated it, around 15 years ago. I never saw it.
Anybody remember when were the two forums merged?
(it's years that I come here just once yearly...)

Re: Happy birthday, TT-Forums!
The forums merged in October 2002, the date I've always gone by here. My own forum dated back to January 2001. I believe the TT.co.uk forums were launched a short while after that. As such, the oldest part of the forums will be 16 in January.

Happy birthday, I say (whatever the 'correct' date may be. It's better to have more celebration occasions than none at all )

Well this is a typical English textbook example of the Future Perfect tense. Now my life is complete knowing that someone actually uses itnext year the forums will have been around for 50% of my life
Happy birthday!

I've only been here since 2004, so that's not even 20% of my life, but I really like these forums! Happy birthday!
And I've played Transport Tycoon (on and off) since the demo in 1994!

Many happy returns to the forums! I'm quite impressed that a thread I never thought would gain as much traction as it did, will be a decade old in March next year... Goodness how time flies.

Re: Happy birthday, TT-Forums!
Wow, didn't even realise its already that time eh?
Well if anything, I've been around since August 2008, so thats just a little over 8 years now, and that means I've been around for one third of my life (I'm 24 and I joined when I was 16 and still in high school)
I hope that the forums continue to stick around though it would be nice to see the forms a little more lively again but many of us are growing older and thus have more important things to do then to entertain a bunch of young kids like me. Some of you guys already have families and jobs that take up a good amount of your time.
Anyways, Happy birthday TT-Forums, and thanks Owen for making this place possible, without it I'd never have learned about OpenTTD (or at least not as soon as I did)
